For the grammar correction types.. you have some work to do.. lol.

The person who writes copy for Old Navy t-shirts has a pretty easy job. No puns, no of-the-moment cultural references, just a word about sports or summer, followed by a couple of exclamation points. It's hard to screw it up. But screw it up, someone did indeed.

Hundreds of thousands of shirts from the retailer's new college football line have been shipped to stores with the phrase "Let's Go", sans apostrophe. Major grammar fail.

I can't say I don't relate. Apostrophes and commas are my left and right Achilles' heels. If only shirts were as easy to fix as blog posts.

Reading the full article.. Can one of yous special grammar nazis explain to me the difference between 'Lets Go' and 'Let's Go'? I'm racking my brain (going back 11+ years to HS) trying to figure out what exactly each phrase means in different circumstances.. And I'm drawing a huge ass blank. I obviously know the 'your' and 'you're' blunder from Wet Seal. That's elementary.

Let.. to give permission to.

But I am with you for the most part.. the intended meaning is known so really is it a foul?

Just amusing that a major company like Old Navy would allow a gaff through the approval process, how many eyes reviewed the concept and didn't catch it.

Yeah. I thought this thread was specifically written for NSD. Where is that guy? Is sex really better than arguing about meaningless stuff on internet forums? 😰
