I'll start off by applauding Dakota and ZS for the advice.

That's like a maffia-loan you've taken there. 15%? That's monstrous.

I reckon that you'll be paying the same amount monthly? The nice cars salesman was right then, I reckon, that you'll be paying $40,- per month on average, but you'll start off with some ridiculous payments, excisting mainly out of rent and very little in the way of actually paying off your debt.

Anyway, hope you get out of this crap! Best of luck to you, Kevin!

Age of Credit History I have a D on because my oldest account is only 3 an half years old. If I pay the car loan off early, how would this effect my credit rating/score?

Average Account Age 2 Yrs 10Mos
Oldest Open Account 3 Yrs 5 Mos
Newest Open Account 2 Yrs

Jun 25, 2010 - two student loans
Mar14, 2011 - car
Dec 7, 2011 - credit card

There's a second credit card, but can't find when it was opened. I only use one card and only use it for gas just to keep it active.

I wouldn't worry about the effect on your credit score. Think of credit as a crutch that should be everybody's goal to get rid of. Even if it somehow hurt your credit score to pay it off early you will be miles ahead in terms of $. Paying it off early will be one step closer to getting rid of the crutch, and once you are rid of it it wouldn't matter what your credit score was, right? Credit scores will only matter to those that need the crutch. Look at the money you are paying on interest. Once the loan is paid off you can still make those "payments" to your savings. By the time it comes to buy another car you should be able to pay cash.

**Full disclaimer** I have loans (student and mortgage), but am focused on paying them off aggressively.
