I feel that people are grasping for straws when trying to knock down the Eagles. They brought in a tremendous deal of talent, and presumptions of intra-team hostility over pay, whether or not DeSean will sign, or if having 3 playmakers is too many (hell, the Packers have about 6 for Aaron Rodgers to get the ball to) feel like weak arguments fueled by envy.
I'm not saying the Eagles are guaranteed to be successful due to their offseason splash. Mike Sherman went for broke with Hardly Nickerson, Joe Johnson, and Terry Glenn and that amounted to squat, and we've seen the Redskins fail win the offseason paper championship year in and year out. However, it's hard to look at what the Eagles did, as a 10-6 playoff team and not assume that they will be better off, at least not until proven otherwise with their in-sesaon play.
