McNabb says Eagles “have more problems than people are looking at”

I agree with the last portion of this that Donovan McNabb might wanna focus on the Vikings, not really talk about the Eagles regardless of being asked.

After reading the whole article, I think Donovan McNabb is over exaggerating the Eagles "problems". When you have two good WR and a good RB, that's a good problem to have and something I bet he wishes he had with the Vikings. It sounds like he's implying that LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson and Jeremy Maclin have big ego's. I'm not sure that's the case.

Eagles problem is that they have no o-line and no LBs. Additionally, they've thrown money out to veterans and not paid they're own players yet (Vick, Jackson, Celek, Trent Cole, Maclin). These guys will probably feel betrayed by the organization when they don't get the pay day they want.

I feel that people are grasping for straws when trying to knock down the Eagles. They brought in a tremendous deal of talent, and presumptions of intra-team hostility over pay, whether or not DeSean will sign, or if having 3 playmakers is too many (hell, the Packers have about 6 for AR to get the ball to) feel like weak arguments fueled by envy.

I'm not saying the Eagles are guaranteed to be successful due to their offseason splash. Mike Sherman went for broke with Hardly Nickerson, Joe Johnson, and Terry Glenn and that amounted to squat, and we've seen the Redskins fail win the offseason paper championship year in and year out. However, it's hard to look at what the Eagles did, as a 10-6 playoff team and not assume that they will be better off, at least not until proven otherwise with their in-sesaon play.

my comment wasn't (necessarily) directed towards Packer fans. It was directed towards the general media sentiment, McNabb's comments, some comments w/in this thread, etc.

I really don't know what to expect of the Eagles. They may go the way of the Miami Heat, or they could be a dud due to miss matching pieces and post-contract year lethargy from all their acquisitions. However, the panic and annoyance with the Eagles due to their Yankees-esque offseason just seems to be leading to some feeble attempts to discredit the viable potential that they have at this point.

They wish they would go the way of the Miami Heat. Then at least they would make the playoffs. They are not looking like they will make it that far.
