Any option is a better option right now. Hell, I bet even Mason could do a better job.

I don't want anyone of these guys in the secondary to talk one freaking word this week.. not one about how good they are.. strap it up and get a little payback this coming week. Not one freaking word.

Exactly, i thought it was pretty strange to see that this week too. My guess is we wont hear a peep out of them until their next pick 6 and then we can hear about how they are the best in the league again.

I'm so damn pissed off at this horrible punter.

I just can't wait for the draft to come around.

Our season is basically over.

I can punt and am availble. So what if I'm 65 years old. I punted in college and averaged better than FrostBite Falls. If somebody pays my way, I'll go to Green Bay and show them what punting is.....plus I was a holder for placekickers. A two for one deal!!!

Remember, I have a bionic leg (rt.knee replacement) and I think that ball would travel at least 60 yards in the air.

Ted Thompson must be determined to prove that this was a good move. You cannot convince me that there is not a better option out there. Wow.

The Pittsburgh Steelers lost their starting Punter this season, and signed P Mitch Berger at the start of the season. Berger avg. about 40 yards per punt. Yes, total per punt, that's not net yardage.

So the Steelers released Berger a month back, and brought in Paul Ernster. Earnster averaged a horrendous 31 yards per punt. Yes, that's total yards per punt, not net yardage after returns.

Steelers cut Ernster yesterday, and brought back Berger.

Link to press release of the move.

Quite simply, the talent out there at P is, at best, marginally better than Frost at punting.

At least Frost is a great holder. He's had time to build a rapport with Crosby. Any new Punter would need time to develop a rapport with Crosby (like understand his placement preference for kicks, etc.), and there is no guarantee that the new P will be as sure a holder as Frost. So accusing Ted of being stubborn and sticking with this move is, IMO, wrong.

No doubt signing Frost out of the blue when we had some consistency at P has proven to be a terrible mistake.

No question, Frost is not coming back for a second year.

Different week same song...Dump Frost. I wish it would happen but i think the boy is ours for the balance of the season. Did we give the limp leg a guarenteed 2 year contract?

nothing's guaranteed except for bonuses. You know that Ted didn't open the ol' wallet too far for a free agent punter right before the regular season started.

He may not have opened the wallet to far but he did sign him without a tryout in a hurry up way to beat the seahawks from giving him a tryout. I looked it up and he rated 29th in punting in the nfl last year, Also the knock on frost was he couldn't punt well in cold weather. In my eyes this was a stupid move by TT.
