Apparently so... lol.. I just feel that strongly about McNabb as a QB.. lol.

I respect the talent the Vikes have overall, but they still have issues up front, without Rice and Berrian (albeit he was a anchor anyway) they are going to lack depth to throw to.

On defense.. I still question their secondary play overall, and there still is some questions about the Williams wall inside.

Sorry.. pressure will be applied to McNabb.. something he doesn't handle well. Game, Set, Match on him being the answer in my mind.

Personally.. I think they would be more dangerous with a Vince Young.. and he is a headcase. That is where I rank McNabb in this deal.

McNabb would need a solid offensive line that is going to create a bubble for him. Watching the Viking QB's get hammered last season doesn't fit that mold.

They better have Ponder and Webb ready to go. BTW.. I am an FSU fan (less so without Bobby but) Ponder was a classic underachiever with the Seminoles... he has some growing to do yet and IMO should not be played this season. He should be on at the minimum a one year tutoring/development plan.. trotting out McNabb doesn't fit that either.

Overall.. I think it a very poor fit.. hence again why this would be a plus for the Packers.

Daryn Colledge is more valuable to a team than Donovan McNabb.

imo 🤐

I don't know if there is a more frustrating player on the Packers than Colledge.. talent is there.. focus or something mental is the issue preventing consistency. That said.. last season was most definitely his best overall season.

Still torques the nuggets at times.. to the point you want to hop through the TV and piss him off just to get his ass focused. Then run like a mother before he kicks your ass.. lol.

McNabb is going to be the next starting QB for the Vikes. They will be formidable with him at the helm. This is my prediction for 2011.

Christian Ponder is a Vikings pipe dream and sad joke to the fanbase, at least in the immediate future, but those fools would still buy it.

Even Zygi isn't that stupid, they'll turn on that kid like the collective pit of pythoneon pricks they always have been famous in some circles for being

Has little to do with arrogance.. I stated the same damn thing last offseason when it appeared that the Vikes were interested in McNabb before swooning Favre for another year.

Even in his prime, McNabb lacked a certain "it" factor and has been somewhat "soft".. and he as become "softer" as the years have passed.

McNabb is done, IMO... forked if you will.

I respect him as a person, just not scared of him as a QB.

I have long held the belief that McNabb is among the most overrated QBs of the last decade. He was a solid QB, but not the elite signal caller many made him out to be. Remember, A.J. Feeley had success in Philadelphia, as did Jeff Garcia. Now, Michael Vick is tearing it up. At the end of the day, Andy Reid knows how to develop QBs. Those Five NFC Title appearances are impressive, but Reid and the late Jim Johnson are the primary reasons they occurred.

With that said, I would rather go with McNabb than Christian Ponder, but I don't look at Minnesota as a contender even with McNabb.

Looks like the Vikings are going to get McNabb according to NFL Network. It is being reported that the Redskins will trade McNabb for 2 lower round draft picks throughout the years. Now the financial aspect has to be discussed but they think McNabb will be willing to take a cut. Saying $7-$8 million/year.

Still doubt that McNabb is "soft"?

Liking my opinion more and more by the moment that McNabb isn't going to do more harm than good.. especially vs the other potential candidates available to them. McNabb improves the Vikes at QB... just not as much as I think they could have at the position with available players on the market.

Thank you Donovan in advance.. Year 3 of the diva dance in MN.

Personal issues, not money now holding up McNabb trade

It appears by all accounts that Donovan McNabb will likely be a Minnesota Viking sooner than later.

The most difficult part of completing the deal is not the trade compensation. The most logical sticking point was how to handle McNabb’s contract, but ESPN reports that the financial considerations are taken care of.

So why isn’t it a done deal just yet? Apparently McNabb isn’t thrilled with “how the Vikings side of the situation was handled.”

I grudgingly have to give Florio credit here. [Editor's note: Kiss my butt, Mr. Marbles.] He’s been saying all offseason that McNabb may not embrace a situation unless the red carpet is rolled out for him. The opposite seems to be happening in Minnesota.

It appears via multiple reports that McNabb may have been a backup plan in Minnesota to acquiring Tyler Thigpen. That could be tough news for McNabb to swallow. Even Christian Ponder’s ostensibly harmless quotes about competing to start could be viewed by McNabb as a threat when he wants the starting gig.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter compared the situation to all the commotion about the lockout late last week. After emotions subside, he fully expects McNabb to join the Vikings. Florio wonders via IM (remember, we’re like 12-year-old girls) if someone in the Vikings front office is leaking things to make McNabb think twice because there is disagreement in the organization about taking McNabb on.

We do anticipate McNabb allowing the deal to go through because his best chance for success.

No matter what happens, it’s clear we’ve come a long way from the moment McNabb was welcomed to Washington as a franchise savior.

I think the Vikings are trying to set a record for signing the most washed up QB's in a lifetime.
Randall Cunningham,
Warren Moon
Brett Favre (yes, he did have the one good season)
Now McNabb.
