There are a couple of undrafted guys I would like to add as well... and before you write off undrafted players remember some good Packers that went undrafted like Jenkins, Williams, Bigby, Shileds, Zombo, Grant, Kuhn, Crabtree and Masthay. (and there are a couple more UDFA on the roster) Most of them seem to come on defense.
Name, Colledge position, school (position I want them to play if it's different than their college position)
Ryan Jones, CB, Northwest Missouri State (I want him as a S)
Jones reminded me of Collins playing CB in college. Small school, very talented and physical CB who have troubles staying in the play when they have to turn around and play from behind/trailing position. I think a move to S would be best for him and I think he looked more physical than some of the FS around so I think it would work.
Marc Schiechl, DE, Colorado School of Mines (I want him as an 3-4 OLB)
I loved watching this guys college tape. While he's small school he clearly was reading the offense blocking and attack it where ever they left their weak point to be. If the RB helped out the OT block he'd fake to the outside, beat the OT and catch the OG sleeping... he just read it very well. Only problem is he clearly over matched the other guys at that low level, so it was hard to get a read how he would match against someone he's level or higher, but I loved the smarts he showed with his aggressiveness and tons of different moves.
Mark Herzlich, OLB, Boston College (I want him as an 3-4 ILB)
Some say he would of been a 1st round pick if didn't get cancer. I disagree with that because while he played awesome he's not overly athletic. But I'm surprised he went undrafted as he's very instinctive, relentless and proved he wants this as he got back after battling with cancer. I'd take him and move him to ILB.
David Mims, OT, Virginia Union
Huge (height and weight) guy... he would probably do best on a power blocking, run first team (which isn't the Packers) but I'd still take a flyer on this guy as he can get and stay low and still move alright which isn't always so for the very tall guys. I think he could compete for one of the very last OL spots. He would be RT. Maybe OG but usually very tall guys aren't on the inside.
DeAndre Brown, WR, Southern Miss
Brown was very tall and very athletic, but he's had some bad injuries (which he has struggled to recover from) and some question weather he's mature as well as his stats getting worse each year. But as a flyer to push for the 5th WR spot if they don't plan on resigning Jones... what's wrong with taking a low risk with a possible high reward?
