Favre was the reason they got into overtime, Dingus...

If the rest of the team was playing, it never would have gone to OT...(like if Ruvell Martin could catch the damn ball), but I guess that's conveniently forgotten...

okay found something

GB 3rd % is 41.9...good for 13th in the league

this year 3 D %

Ahhh but you want to know last years?>?

last year 3 D %

42.6

YES 7 tenths of a % point better LAST year to this year for 3rd down conversion

So still want to stick with this year lot more 3 and outs or got something else?

Heres a start. Football isnt all about statistics. Look at Favre vs Brady last year. Favre had 28 td's and Brady had 50. I dont think Brady was 2x as good as Favre. All depends on the situation.

Look @ wins & losses.

Loss to Dallas - the defense kept us in there till around the half but the offense was lost out there and had NO CONSISTENCY and could do nothing.

Loss to Minnesota would have been an easy win with Favre. Offense was very inconsistent most of the day.

The losses to Tennessee & Atlanta & Tampa, i have to believe we stand a much better chance of pulling out those close games with Favre. He can be counted on in the clutch at this point in his career. Look at what Favre did on the Jets. Patriots game, Dolphins game, Arizona game after the Jets defense gave up the lead, Chiefs game. In each of these games, he had to come up with plays late in the game to win it. Thats what experience does for you. Rodgers can not win those games consistently like a veteran yet.

I stand by my statement, we have one or maybe 2 losses with Favre and were right where we were last year. 1st or 2nd in the NFC, about to lock up the division and a first round bye. Instead, maybe we make the playoffs, maybe not.

Stats lie. If you want to look at how meaningless stats are, here goes. Peyton Manning is the 16th best rated qb this season. That should tell you all you need to know about stats. Because all things being equal, there is nobody in the history of the game i'd rather have qb'ing my team than peyton other than Favre. There are currently 11 quarterbacks with +90 qb ratings. It used to be that two or three per season would be in the 90's. Offenses are geared toward higher qb rating, a lot of completions, not taking chances and making mistakes. There are only a handful of difference makers out there. Guys you can depend on in clutch situations. IMO, they are Favre, Manning, Romo & Rivers.

The only thing conveniently forgotten in all of this is that Favre isn't a Packer anymore!

You know what, Im going to stop now and end this waste of my time. You will continue to lament the departure of Throwy T. McInterceptions and hopefully one day you will be able to get over it and enjoy Packers football again.

I am aware that all of this is my fault for venturing in to the Lord Favre section, I will not make the same mistake again.

Talking about Favre/TT/Packers with people on here is like arguing with my ex girlfriend. No matter what we are talking about, the original point gets lost, we start talking about the same old crap we argued about a year ago and i forgot what the original point was. This is the case here. I dont remember what we were talking about and i'm too tired to find out :)

Good night.
