Well.... I did not see it. However.

I just ran his numbers through my NFL QB Rating Web site.

Q.B. Rating for the first half in the Denver Game for this 24 year old kid....

123.24

A NFL QB Rating of 123.24

I can live with that.

He has a way to go... BUT HE IS..... 24 Years Old.

Life is good for this Packer Fan.

They are going to need to bring in a veteran QB though. Neither Flynn nor Brohm look like they're close to being ready to play. The defensive backs are awful and that includes Al Harris. Of course it would help if the defensive line could play at all, but our corners are awful I liked the way Aaron played tonight

I too couldn't watch the game, but just looking at the numbers I am pretty impressed. The defense, however, is another story.

I watched the game. He played very well. He was accurate. He was poised. He didn't have any happy feet. I posted a post about how we haven't seen him look like he did at Cal or even the Dallas game yet. Well he looked like that tonight.

Still it's just pre season but this was a nice performance to watch.

I'm with you on Brohm and maybe Flynn, but I'm not worried about Al Harris. He usually sucks in the preseason.

Tramon Williams had some rough moments at CB, but he was put on an island with a very talented WR, and he was right with the guy, but just didn't quite get it done. I think he will be a good nickel back, though he doesn't quite look ready to start if Harris or Woodson goes down.

THANKS FOR POINTING THAT OUT. In this very positive thread I started.

If it was not for your post, I would have slept well this evening, and forgot that there are always negative things in the world.

I just had a glow on. I was pumped. However, you just reminded me that things are more bad than good. That there is a down side.

Now I am sure... Positive in fact.... I eventually will be shot and killed while filling my gas tank at the gas station. I am sure that a 8.0 earthquake will hit Southern California and kill many of my friends.

I now am looking at the fact that my niece has a good possibility of being raped in college by date rape drugs. Hell... I there is a hell of a possibility I have a cancer growing in me right now but it has not yet been detected.

Fuck! I am sure that the next plane I get on is going to crash and my left arm will be found hanging from a swing set in the elementary school the plane crashed into.

Jeese... You are right as rain. There is not much to be pleased about in life.

I needed to start looking at things in a new light. I need to look at things the way you do.

Thank you for that.

I shall never, ever, ever, look at the positive again.

Thanks, I mean that a great deal.

RP: You are right, this should be a positive thread. But after a game, people say what's on their mind.

I saw the game, and Rodgers looked excellent. And one of the incompletions was a drop by James Jones. I thought last week's difficulties were a bit of a fluke anyway. And as I mentioned in another thread Aaron's QB sneaks were a big help for the offense. Although Favre was the toughest QB ever, he avoided that play in his later years, and so did the coaching staff. Although there are many things about Favre that we will miss, it is nice to have a young QB who will stick his nose in the pile and get that extra yard.

How did that DT Allen play?

I think we will be fine. We have a bunch of impact players that didn't play. Plus, we aren't showing very much of the playbook because IT'S ONLY PRESEASON!

AP Game Summary: Packers Edge Broncos 27-24

posted 08/22/2008

DENVER (AP) -- Aaron Rodgers went from pathetic one week to just about perfect the next.

Brett Favre's replacement as Green Bay quarterback bounced back from a bad game at San Francisco to complete 18 of 22 passes for 193 yards and a touchdown in the Packers' 27-24 win over Denver on Friday night.

Rodgers led four scoring drives in his five possessions and was 16-for-19 for 178 yards against the Broncos' starters, including a 10-yard touchdown to Donald Driver on the game's opening drive.

He added a 1-yard sneak for a score against the Broncos' reserves to open the second half before giving way to rookie Brian Brohm.

The Packers (1-2) sorely needed this kind of night from Rodgers in the last true tuneup for the regular season. He was 9-for-18 for 58 yards last week against San Francisco and failed to get the Packers into the end zone in one half of action.

18 of 22 - almost 200 yards in 2.25 quarters. Scoring points on 4 of 5 series. pretty dang solid.
