Uh, looking at the debacle that is the NFC outlook this season, only the Giants might be as good as us with our Brett. And i underline might. We might have one loss, maybe two if our Brett was under center.

For the record, roddy and I didnt bring up TT, but you did 🙂 I've pretty much moved on and am happy that i have 2 teams to root for this year every week. Win win i guess.

I just dont understand how someone can say with Brett we would have only one loss? I can say honestly that maybe the Tampa game we win, so we could have one more win..

I only say Tampa cuz Bret tis so used to that type of defense.

2 games in a row were we needed the D to step up and they couldnt do it..

if they could have stepped up, we would be sitting at 7-3

We also don't know how many games we won we'd have lost. Favre has had a number of awful games so for all we know it breaks even. And Gravedigga, how is the NFC a debacle? The NFC is 21-18-1 against the AFC. The Giants as you mentioned are a dominant team but to say they're the only good team is ridiculous. Carolina, although a bit overrated, is a very solid team, Tampa Bay is strong, Atlanta isn't a bad team nor is Arizona, and none of the other NFC East teams are week though they've fallen off a bit as of late. Also, any of the top three NFC North teams, though inconsistent could upset anyone on any given week. So again, how exactly is the NFC a debacle?

So when are we going back to this being a section for paying tribute to Brett and nothing more. I think it's exciting what's going on with the Jets and with the Pack not playing Sunday I'm excited for a clash with the Titans which if the Jets win they might possibly be a top 4 team which is pretty good coming off a 4 win season. Not getting ahead of myself but if the Jets would win the SB it would be hard not to call Brett the greatest of all time

Apparently I'm one of few who understand that's what this section was intended for. Some feel its a place to bitch about the trade and hate on Thompson. It's quite sad. One of these days I'm going to go through it all and delete all the BS crap and just make it read only and only allow a few users to post articles about Brett. I hate to have to do that, but it's looking like that's the only way to fix this.

Man.....it's EASY to just throw stuff out like "If Brett was here, we'd have only lost one game". Even though there's NO way of proving it.......of course you can't prove it wouldn't have happened.
Fact is.....like was stated.....if our D would have stepped up a few times, we'd have a better record.

Heck......if Brett was still here, we'd be 2-8 at this time instead of 5-5.

Now.......PROVE that statement wrong. See? You CAN'T.
Remember........we were 4-12 just a couple years ago, with Favre as our QB.
The guys NOT perfect.
We got alot of bounces our way last year that we haven't got so far this year. But the great thing is, we are in first place and there's no saying how far we might go. Things seem to be jelling right at the right time. Will we win it all? Who knows. Will the Jets? Who knows.
Thats what makes it fun. As long as you are in the hunt, it's exciting.
Look at the Pats last year......18-0, and they lose the SB. The Giants sucked early in the year, yet they won it all.
Who KNOWS what will happen? It's who's hot at the end that ends up being the winner.
