Here is to DD and Jones getting healthy for Monday night.. very well might be a shoot out of sorts coming Monday.. Saints can score.. but can't keep others from scoring as well.

McCarthy's day-after media conference
Coach Mike McCarthy will address the media beginning sometime after 12:15 p.m. As usual, we'll have the newsworthy stuff here as it comes. Refresh for the latest.

* The team came out of the game healthy. Nick Barnett will have his knee surgery on Thursday. Donald Driver is banged up and might miss practice Wednesday, but he's fine.

* On Driver's injuries: Has a number of little nicks. Doesn't specify what.

* On challenges of rest of season: Two Monday night games on holiday weeks. Complicates things from a scheduling standpoint on short weeks.

* On Aaron Rodgers and Chad Clifton practice schedule: "I would anticipate that." Better answer on Wednesday. This is the best Rodgers has felt coming out of a game since his injury. Clifton will go back-to-back, but not sure on which days.

* On importance of November and December football: "We stress it all the time. It's important for us to play our best football."

* On offensive line's performance: Three or four mental errors on offense as whole, but even a couple of those were questionable based on the defensive look. Felt line was strong in both passing and running games. Notes that Rodgers wasn't hit. "They played at a very high level."

* On how A.J. Hawk looked on tape: "I thought A.J. played very well." Did well with communication even in no-huddle situations. "It didn't look like we missed a beat with the boundary communication ... and he was productive." Played downhill in his gap responsibility. Did well against RB Matt Forte when matched in crossing routes. "A.J. graded out very well."

* On team's mind-set with playoffs approaching: "I'd say we're an extremely focused football team."

* On altering practice schedule late in week: Friday practice this week, which will be a Thursday schedule because of the Monday night game, will be the first to reflect the late-season adjustment. Cuts 15 minutes of practice and 15 minutes of meeting time.

* On changes down the stretch to keep teams guessing: Won't overload scheme people. Doesn't think there's a point in change for the sake of change. Thinks teams do better job changing from week to week than even five years ago. For instance, Chicago's pressure percentage was higher this year than he could remember, but the Bears dropped into coverage more on Sunday.

* On Matt Flynn not relieving Rodgers late: Had warmed up and ready to go. Would have liked to get him some snaps, but wasn't going to insert during series.

* On James Jones' knee: Banged it again. Didn't get as many snaps as would have liked. "Though he played OK, played well. ... I'd just like to get him healthy."

* On Rodgers' decisions: Graded out fine in both run and pass.

That's it for now. It's a victory Monday, meaning players won't be around during the media access period, but we'll post any other newsy stuff if it comes up here.

You know in ancient Rome the thumbs down actually meant they wanted him to live.

I hope Jones gets healthy. I like what I see of Jordy so far, but Jones was my main man. :thumbleft:
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Just saw a replay of a Jones catch yesterday and he came down right on his knee, looked kinda painful.

I think Jones is just banged up and not catching any breaks in the healing process, don't lose faith yet Zero.

It's his comments that have me losing faith in him. He's soft, he doesn't have that 'fight' in him to fight through pain. He's pretty much said it in not so many words.

Which really sucks for me because I likened him to another Sterling Sharpe type of player. I had high hopes for him.

I'm implying with this picture that James Jones should be allowed to live.

dfosterf (25-Jul) : Probably a homer access credential intimidation kinda thing
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Meathead "journalists" skip this, concentrating on operational revenue when convenient. They switch when net revenue is more favorable.
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Resulting in an actual drop of net revenue of 12.5%. She is from Minnesota. Just sayin'
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Any plans to hold Maureen Smith (CFO) accountable for a 95% drop in investment revenue?

Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : also, no bueno when a guy starts getting concussions right off the bat in his career
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Concussion is worse. Banks probably vet off day via back booboo claim
Mucky Tundra (25-Jul) : @AndyHermanNFL Jordy Nelson out at camp today. No word if he’s in play for one of the two open roster spots ; )
dfosterf (25-Jul) : Is that better or worse than Banks bad back?
Zero2Cool (25-Jul) : Savion concussion ... not good.
packerfanoutwest (24-Jul) : Aaron Rodgers’s first pass of first team period was picked off

dfosterf (23-Jul) : 2nd issue. Number 1 issue was no gameday childcare. 1 of 3 teams not providing it
Zero2Cool (23-Jul) : Suppose if locker room is main issue, we sitting pretty
wpr (23-Jul) : I thought so Mucky. In those useless player polls GB always rates high overall. Locker is a part of it.
Mucky Tundra (23-Jul) : Wasn't the locker room just updated like 6 or 7 years ago?
Zero2Cool (23-Jul) : I have forum updated on different site. We'll see how this one goes before going to that
