I know....and you are all right. We should take the higher ground.
But does anyone believe how we treat his corpse will make ANY difference in how those people view us? They hate us, want us ALL dead, period.
NOTHING we do will change that.
But yes, we should do the right thing, no matter what.

Did you know it takes ten positive comments to ease the effects of one negative comment that one would be subjected to?
If the U.S. denied bin Laden his due Islamic burial, I assure you, the repercussions would have been grave.
Do the RIGHT thing and perhaps a few will view us as merciful and respectful to others religion.
Do the WRONG thing and it'll turn many against us.
So, will it make a big difference that we did the right thing? When you compare it to doing the wrong thing, yes, it makes a huge difference. There's such a larger scope to this than I feel is being recognized.
That's what I believe.
WPR says it well here too.
Cheesey,
It has nothing to do with bin Laden and HIS religion and EVERYTHING to do with Real Muslims. We are being gracious to them. Letting them know that even to this guy was a POS we respect THEIR beliefs and took care of the scumbag the way they would want it done.

We didn't want to make MORE enemies by disrespecting Muslims, as you've indicated, we have plenty as it is.
