The article is purely speculation, but good points are raised about his stock relative to McNabb or Young.

It's certainly nice having an extra lure in the tackle box that you can trust...but I can't see any way of him staying after his contract runs up, so it makes a lot of sense to get some value for him.

If the jackasses running the game into the ground would pull their heads out of their asses.. and we had an general idea of the restricted free agency terms under the CBA... if there is even a CBA after this offseason.. we should be at the very least listening to offers for Flynn right now.

With Harrell having a year under his belt in this system.. and a deep prospect draft at QB from watching college ball last season.. it would be an ideal time to shore up depth or future picks for the Packers.

That is if the jackasses (Both sides) could figure out how to swallow their pride and hammer out a deal to continue to grow this game.

Harrell's an interesting prospect. Maybe they should turn him into a HB or TE, who can throw an option pass. Not sure he can build up sufficient arm strength to be a real QB. He's smart though.

Tru dat. Missed the offseason QB school though. If anyone can develop him, MM can, that's for sure.
For all MM's faults and shortcomings, he is a great QB guru.

Unless someone offers a pretty high draft pick I'm not sure why we would trade Flynn.

I would like to draft a lower round Qb this year tough in case Flynn doesn't come back next year.

It's suggested in the article that it would take a second round pick to pry Flynn away from the Packers, as they are likely to get a fourth rounder in another year anyway if he leaves in free agency. I think a second is a bit high for him, so it is not likely to happen, but considering how desperate some teams are for QBs right now (the first round of the draft was further evidence of that) it is not out of the question.

I believe arm strength is over rated. For every strong armed loser; Leaf, George, Russell, Smith, etc. there's an under powered winner; Starr, Montana, Staub, Brady, etc. Some even questioned Rodgers arm strength when he came out. There are other things that are as or more important, like poise, decision making, leadership, fortitude, etc. Also, these are young men and they will get stronger the next few years, some more than others, especially with professional strength and conditiong training.

I'm not sure the Packers would get a 4th for him. Kampman got a 4th... I think Flynn would be a 5th or later.

People talk about how good Flynn looked against the Patriots but he looked like a game manager QB to me where the team ran the ball a heck of a lot more as well as Flynn wasn't close on his long passes... to me Flynn looked like a game manager in a west coast offense.

Now some game manager in a west coast offense have done very well (Jeff Garcia) but Flynn still isn't there... he didn't look like he was running the huddle but MM was from the sideline as well as a poor 2 minute offense where he wasted a lot of time.
