(This is from the divorce filings for the McCourts, owners of the LA Dodgers.)

Divorce filings -- Dodger owners

Yes, I know Technically, this is info re: baseball owner(s), but this is the order of magnitude of the lifestyle of NFL football owners. And I would not be at all surprised if you find many (if not most) NFL owners using their team revenues to pay for similar personal spending "needs".

I can't post the entire filing (its pages and pages long, connecting several documents all in one huge pdf file), and I cant figure out how to cut and paste the good parts. But scroll down to "Declaration of Petitioner Jamie McCourt", paragraphs 51-80 (titled "Our Marital Lifestyle"). They've got the key info.

It'll you blow you away.

Well, it blew me away, anyway.

Unbelievable...

I think my personal favorite may be the part about travel in 2008 & 2009. 550 hours by first class private jet estimated at almost 6.9 million dollars of Dodger Entities!!!

I mean, I know that the NFL hasn't been as corrupted by money as much as the MLB has (no cap, etc), but this kinda of information makes me wish for a little bit more transparency from the NFL owners... just in case.

Typed up what I thought was important if people didn't want hit the huge .pdf:

- Wears designer clothing (Valentino, Michael Kors, Prada, Gucci, Arman and Manalo Blahnfkt?), employs a stylist and buys fine jewelry
- Homes (yes, plural) are furnished with expensive furniture, artwork and carpets including a number of valuable oriental carpets. Their art/carpet collection is insured for $3,660,000. They have state of the art entertainment systems
- They belong to 7 different country clubs
- They have 24 hour security at their main house, security to escort them and security in place at night at their beach house. The security is PAID FOR BY THE DODGERS.
- Children expenses (4 of them I think) for rearing them and ivy league schools
- They not only have an $80,000 a year concierge health care plan but also receive Blue Cross health and medical insurance coverage provided and paid for BY THE DODGERS.
- A large savings but no number listed. Amassed a large estate

This is ridiculous:
- "Additionally I request exclusive temporary use of the indoor swimming pool at our residence located at ... LA on a daily basis from 6am to 2pm... Frank no longer resides at this home.
- She want shim to pay her trial expenses of "$2,000,000 to my attorneys, $500,000 to my forensic accountants, $100,000 for real estate appraisal fees and $120,000 for business appraisal fees"

I wrote:

I also took a screen shot of their monthly living expenses.

EDIT: Couldn't attach it. It's here: http://djcubez.com/pictures/packers/mccourt-expenses.jpg

Keep in mind those are the minimum expenses for each. MINIMUM.

Apparently as owner of the Dodgers she had a salary of $2,000,000 a year. That's roughly $38,400 a week. They also have about 8 homes. Holy hell.

1. Couple bits that stick in my memory:

2. Paid 20 million for house #1. Obviously a bit of a fixer-upper -- they put another 15 million into remodelling it. Has both outdoor pool and indoor Olympic-size swimming pool.

3. Eat dinner out 5-6 times a week, lunch, too, $200 per person per meal.

4. Dodgers also pay for her hair and makeup.

By the way....what is "concierge medical care"?

The master room in my place wouldn't accommodate a 60inch TV too well. It'd look cool and be fun to show off, but for realistic use, I think being 8 feet away from a 60inch TV is not far enough. 10-12 feet at least.

I hold absolutely no sympathy for either party in this aspect of this squabble.. personally the cavalier attitude that both parties have taken.

A 9 billion dollar industry and the two spoiled shitheads (NFLPA* & the Owners) can't figure out how to carve up the pie, continue to grow the business and figure out realistic approaches to be satisfied with the wealth they gain upon the fans overall dollars.

I know it matters little at the end of the day... but I will be damned if I spend a single penny upon the sport for a long while.

Rather go back to the grass roots of the game that be sickened by the greed and contempt both sides have displayed the last year and a half.

Still the players weren't asking for much. In fact they kind of wanted to keep the CBA the same. It's the owners that were pretty much settled beforehand on going into the lockout.
