With you guys too....I didnt see him taking plays off..

What I do recall was that Greg was mad he wasnt getting more touches..That was in the press

But to "speculate" he was taking plays off because he was mad, for me is stretching it

Personally, I want the Packers RB, TE and WR to be WANTING the ball on every down. Hopefully they understand, there's only one ball and don't go over board. To of which, I believe Greg Jennings did during the Redskins game. I'm basing this off his apology he made public to his position coach. I don't know what was said or done, just know he apologized for his comments/words to his position coach. I'm going to assume it was about not getting the ball.

Everything that I saw suggested Jennings just wasn't incorporated into the offense enough.

Against the Eagles, Green Bay wanted to run the ball because something on film suggested they could. Even without Ryan Grant, the Pack ran the ball well twice against Philadelphia.

Against the Bills they tried to force the run at times, but truth be told, the offense was slow up until the second half.

They took whatever the Bears gave them in game three. For the most part, TEs like Finley should serve as your No. 1 target against the Tampa two defense.

Again, they tried to force the run against Detroit. Not to mention the offense was barely on the field for that game because the Lions had an excellent approach.

There are reasons Jennings wasn't involved early, but it had more to do with Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy than Jermichael Finley or Greg Jennings.

It is not as if Jennings hasn't coexisted with Finley before. Both of them played their best football down the stretch in 09. I understand Beast is just the messenger here, but I think the suggestions are unfounded.

He scored a touchdown in 3 of the first 5 games. Score 3 touchdowns the last five games of the season, but only scored in 2 of those 5 games. Points are what matters and he was involved just fine in the first 5 games.

I remember one play where Rodger's threw a pick and Jennings kind of kept running his route and didn't go for the tackle much. A few people complained about it. While it was bad, it just seemed more like an awareness thing to me. It didn't look like he quite realized what was going on, but it still didn't look like lack of effort.

So far, Beast and Nonstop are the only two I've seen that talk about lack of effort on this board. And to be honest, Beast, Zero's opinion of not remembering any lack of effort means as much as your opinion of remembering such.

"doddpower" wrote:

I agree I'm not complaining about that play. Jennings thought the ball went to the ground, when it didn't.

And to to be honest I know someone else opinion mattes just as much as someone else... but Zero doesn't seem to. He keeps beating the dead horse demanding proof when I've pointed to Jennings low stats and him complaining (which others have also said) which is more than anything Zero has given back yet he keeps beating the dead horse and not backing his opinion up with anything other than his opinion, and is demanding facts. So he won't give any facts but is demanding them...

I'm glad you admit that it's unable to prove, which adds credence to what I said that you're just singling him out because he didn't blister the stat sheet the first quarter of season or so.

I don't disagree there are tons I forget, but Greg Jennings being labeled malcontent (not giving it his all cuz the ball wasn't coming to him) is surely something I'd have noticed and remembered if it were true that many were speaking about it.

Since you've taken this to a personal depth, I'm going to try an tread softer with you.

"Zero2Cool" wrote:

It doesn't add nothing... because you haven't proven any ether. It's opinion vs. opinion... and the stat numbers and Jennings complaining (which other have said they also heard early in the season) is on my side.

I'm not singling him just for his stats. I'm calling him out for his stats, his complaining and because he didn't finish his routes early in season like he normally does. I'm also calling out Rodgers because he stopped looking Jennings way as often and totally and compete stared down Finley and stopped looking for the WRs as much.

I don't know but my guess is one of these problems lead to the other. I'm not sure which came first.

I took it to personal depth? You were talking about me messing with another guys balls... that is personal level.... and you won't leave my opinion alone and keep beating the dead horse, including making a new thread for it... You think one thing, I think another... and nether of us can prove it 100% so lets just leave it at that.

While I'm at it I'm also calling out Rodgers, Finley and Barnett for publicly complaining and making it look like the team was fighting (got to keep that stuff in house... if you got problems tell the people... not the media)... and they're all repeat offenders which Rodgers losing it and telling people to get behind him or shut up (which dealing with the whole Favre thing made it a bit more understandable but they second time was on him)... rookie Finley threw Rodgers under the bus saying he didn't threw it like he wanted and implied that why he dropped it (yet he got his hands on it... catch it) ... and Barnett has gotten himself into trouble before including pushing his baby's Aunt in a bar... and while we're at out Jolly for being stupid. But I guess you're going to question me on all of these too.

Dude, you said Greg Jennings wasn't giving his 100% effort because he was upset he wasn't getting the ball. You said it was talked about a lot. I simply asked where at because I didn't remember and I didn't see it on the field. If I came off as "demanding" facts or proof, my apologies, that was not my intent.

You're also using stats to support ones effort. I don't believe that's an accurate measure of ones effort in making cuts, pushing themselves to the max or the like. There's no denying his catches were down the first five games of this season compared to some of his others.

I just don't remember seeing Greg Jennings running weak routes, failing to shed the bump, turning lackadaisical corner routes or alligator arms, or anything that would provide evidence of him not giving it his all.

I fail to see the logic behind Greg Jennings complaining about not getting the ball while he's not giving it his best effort. It makes more sense to me that Greg Jennings was giving it his best effort and not getting the ball and that's what pissed him off.

A stat that I would be most interested in his how many times was Greg Jennings targeted during the first five games of his career vs how many receptions. That'd be a neat stat.

Lastly and most importantly, I never said others opinions do not matter and this website's existence supports that as do many of my comments requesting others add their opinions to discussions.

I didn't see him failing to shed the bump or alligator arms ether.... what I saw was Jennings starting off very strong sometimes winning his battle, looked back for the ball, it wasn't there and he then he slowed down (and sometimes seemed to stop for a bit) which let the CB he had beat catch up and coverage him instead of keep going.

During this time Rodgers seemed locked onto Finley and not looking at other options.
