we see how gassed they get from play to play

Yes because Jennings got more gassed for those 5 games unlike he has for the last 11 games or other years. ::roll:

You can make up excuses all you want... but Jennings didn't seem to play the same way during those 5 games as he did in years past nor in the games after that. His stats also went down for those 5 games...

Jennings did a great job picking it up after that.

He didn't play the same, or wasn't targeted as often?

I'm not making excuses, at least, not trying to. I'm really trying to see what you're saying... I'm just failing at it man. Sorry.

Some people think he wasn't going his hardest in a couple of the early games and think he was ticked off, that Finley was the new focus point of the offense and wasn't being targeted as often (though he was quitting on plays earlier and letting CB catch up and get good cover again at times when normally he wouldn't). I don't think he did it on purpose but unknowingly was not trying/working as hard to get open... as he was upset and unhappy...

It's just a theory some people have after watching and listen to Jennings after the early part of the season and preseason... Theory have been both right and wrong in the past. But some people felt Jennings play and effort were different. Other don't.

Some people? I've only seen you speak out on this. What you're saying is the opposite of what I've seen and heard from experts. That doesn't mean you're incorrect, it means I have trouble with your theory because it holds no water, in my opinion that is. We disagree and I think you're holding a flame to Jennings testicles for the sake of doing it with each comment you add to this discussion. I looked for articles that matched your comments and found nothing even close. I even used the uber Google!! 😉

Yeah you just feel like arguing and egging me on. Someone else in this thread said they said it during the season, yet I'm the only person you remember? Maybe you were right you're memory is slipping, or you just don't read everything.

I do read other sites as well and I've have read it on a couple of boards and they brought up some good points. Just because you don't remember Jennings struggling doesn't mean anything. He finished off the season amazingly which made a lot of people (maybe even you, if you saw it in the first place) forget about it.

I don't know about you but I don't like having anything to do with other guys testicles. But hey if you have fun with it go for it... if they want you to that is...

Also I have no reason to say anything bad about Jennings... the guy just didn't do what he normal does at the start of the season. And the stats back it up. Yet you want me to prove something that is unable to prove... and you haven't said anything to disprove it other than I don't remember it. Which I'm sure there are tons of things you don't remember. Everyone forgets stuff.

Nobody is disputing that Jennings was not productive at the beginning of the season. The question is whether he was not giving 100%. I'm with Zero on this one, because I did not notice any lack of effort, but then, I don't often watch players who don't get the ball.

It's not hard to believe that some fans on message boards thought he was not giving his best effort. There are always going to be some people who say that. This is the only message board I'm on, and I don't remember it. That doesn't mean nobody said it, but it could not have been a popular viewpoint. I sure don't remember hearing it in the mainstream press, for what that's worth.

I remember one play where Rodger's threw a pick and Jennings kind of kept running his route and didn't go for the tackle much. A few people complained about it. While it was bad, it just seemed more like an awareness thing to me. It didn't look like he quite realized what was going on, but it still didn't look like lack of effort.

So far, Beast and Nonstop are the only two I've seen that talk about lack of effort on this board. And to be honest, Beast, Zero's opinion of not remembering any lack of effort means as much as your opinion of remembering such.

Rourke was the other person and no disrespect to him, but he's the guy who kept bitching about Dom Capers needing to be fired. His perception I value, his complaints I tend to ignore.

I'm glad you admit that it's unable to prove, which adds credence to what I said that you're just singling him out because he didn't blister the stat sheet the first quarter of season or so.

I don't disagree there are tons I forget, but Greg Jennings being labeled malcontent (not giving it his all cuz the ball wasn't coming to him) is surely something I'd have noticed and remembered if it were true that many were speaking about it.

Since you've taken this to a personal depth, I'm going to try an tread softer with you.

Split Topic.

The subject is ... Greg Jennings failed to give it 100% because he was pissed he wasn't the center of the offense during the first 4-5 games of the season. And as "beast" provided, the stats support it.

I disagree with this, just to be clear. 🙂

I with Zero here. I've watched every snap at least twice and I failed to see this as well. Just because his stats increased doesn't prove anything in this regard.

With you guys too....I didnt see him taking plays off..

What I do recall was that Greg was mad he wasnt getting more touches..That was in the press

But to "speculate" he was taking plays off because he was mad, for me is stretching it
