Also it's been said that Mike McCarthy switched the offense (tweaked it really) last year to focus more on the TE and less on the WRs, and Jennings didn't like it and wasn't going 100%.

When Finley went down Mike McCarthy tried to stick with the same plan but the TEs couldn't step up and fill the void... so Mike McCarthy switched it back to focus on the WRs and called out the WRs (and other parts of the team) and suddenly Jennings was doing great again.

I think we should keep it focused on the WRs because their is more known depth (at least there was) and they can always call a couple of big TE plays and Mike McCarthy should have it ready because with Quarless and Finley he has two TE that can block alright and can seriously move and spread defenses out and make mismatches though Quarless still needs to learn to catch and hold on to the ball.

Where was it said that Greg Jennings wasn't going at 100% implying he was Randy Moss'ing it? I never once heard anything like that, til now.

And partly because Rodgers was staring down Finley... I think everyone knew it was going to Finley, including Jennings and he stopped running as hard.

But it's a catch 22... when Jennings stops running as hard Rodgers has less reason to look for Jennings... and when Rodgers looks for Jennings less Jennings has less reason to run 100%....

I took a lot of heat for this during the season, but I thought it looked fairly obvious that Jennings wasn't going all out. It pissed me off. Yes, he picked it up around midseason, but I still found his lack of interest in laying out for catches early in the season infuriating.

I remember Greg Jennings essentially tracking down Mike McCarthy during a practice shortly after Finley went down to discuss getting himself more involved into the game plan.

As for taking plays off, I'm not sure how one could even speculate that, unless it was as blatant as Randy Moss with the Oakland Raiders, lol.

We all are aware that most players get gassed and might be giving it their all, but showing less because of being gassed. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what was seen from Greg Jennings and misinterpreted as him taking plays off.

I do think the offense was far to centered around Finley in the first quarter of the season. Howver, as Greg C mentioned, perhaps that's because the TE runs shorter routes and Aaron Rodgers had to get rid of the ball quicker and the TE was the most convenient target.

For it to have been said a lot that Greg Jennings wasn't giving his all, and for me to not remember it at least once... man, old age must be kicking in early.

I don't remember it either, although I do remember Jennings expressing some frustration in interviews and maybe even on the sideline once. As I recall, Nonstop criticized all of the receivers, not just Jennings, for not laying out to make catches. I never noticed it, myself. I thought they gave good effort all season. They definitely had some lapses in concentration, but that's not necessarily caused by lack of effort.

Moss didn't even attempt, he would jog... Jennings didn't jog but he didn't go full speed or make the great cuts shaking away and losing defenders like he normal does in those first couple of games ether.

The first 5 weeks Jennings averaged 2.8 catches and 36.6 yards per game, and as said above he was complaining and Rodgers wasn't looking his way as often and people were saying he wasn't running or cutting as hard or fast as he normally does for what ever reason. (could of been an injury that wasn't talked about?... or something else but some people were complaining about it during the season.)

After the 5th week (not counting the playoffs) Jennings averaged 5.6 catches and 98 yards per game. Which is a lot better. The stats are even better if you don't count the games where Flynn mostly played. Not counting the 2nd Lions game or the Pats game Jennings averaged 6 catches and 111.11 yards per game...

I envy you're analytical skills because even after watching every game, at least twice, I never once seen anything that resembled Greg Jennings doing anything deserving of this.

I wonder how many times you seen him not being his "usual self" shaking and losing defenders was because of an undisclosed leg/foot injury, or perhaps design of the play?

I'm not familiar with Greg Jennings complaining about not getting the ball enough, other that he said something to his position coach that he immediately apologized for in an interview. Albeit, Greg Jennings is a large tit-baby when it comes to whining to the referee's after a dropped pass.

I'd also be willing to bet a vast majority of WR's in the NFL fail to push 100% on every single play in every single game. I'd rather them never admit it, but we see how gassed they get from play to play. It wouldn't be that shocking to me to learn the percent was in the mid to high 80's.

Yes because Jennings got more gassed for those 5 games unlike he has for the last 11 games or other years. ::roll:

You can make up excuses all you want... but Jennings didn't seem to play the same way during those 5 games as he did in years past nor in the games after that. His stats also went down for those 5 games...

Jennings did a great job picking it up after that.

I with Zero here. I've watched every snap at least twice and I failed to see this as well. Just because his stats increased doesn't prove anything in this regard.
