I don't accept that he bought the team to move it. I believe him when he says he wants to keep them here.. But you can only do so much with the retards in MN's office. Zigy did more for the team in his first 2 years as owner than Red did his entire time at the helm.. And in fact, because of Red McComb's completely moronic actions during his time as the Vikings' owner he actually did more harm than good for the Vikings drive for a new stadium.

You actually think Zygi is the good guy in this situation don't you? The fact is right now your state government can't help even if they wanted to, because Minnesota is broke. Where are the private investors in your community Formo? Why isn't anybody stepping up to the plate? What about the wealthy corporations around that area like 3M?

For someone who takes such a staunch viewpoint on welfare and government funding, you sure are quick to want your state government to jump on board with this stadium. No, I stand by what I said, if the Minnesota state government goes in on this, then they should buy the whole thing and reap the profits from it too. The only thing Zygi should be to you guys is some rich east coast prick using your team. You think they love Model in Cleveland - you guys are in the same situation right now.

Perspective. Have some.

The Vikings went from having Red as their owner (douchenozzle) to Zigy (a guy who was actually PROACTIVE). I never called the guy a saint. Like I said before, I would LOVE it if he paid for the whole thing. The bad guy(s) in this situation is the MN government/legislature. They've been pushing the Vikings stadium issue on the back burner ("wait until next year's session") for over 10 years now. And they are wondering why a new stadium will be almost a billion dollars with a roof?! Just because the Metrodump was built on the cheap (and when I say on the cheap, I mean in quality as well) in 1979-1981 for $68 million dollars, doesn't mean the next stadium being built is going to be as cheap.

The taxes being proposed in this bill aren't bad taxes because they can be avoided. I hate taxes, but I also want my Vikings to stay in-state. That being the case, I can give ground on taxes as long as they are the right kind. And the 3 main tax sources in this bill, IMO, are the right kind.

What, sin taxes that haven't even passed yet? Nice right wing response - pass everything down to the consumer level where the scumbags reside, gamblers, smokers, and football fanatics.

Formo, somebody with a brain needs to come up with a plan, where tax dollars would be paid back with interest in X amount of time. That building needs to be in Downtown Minneapolis with a retractable roof so it can be maximized.

The way they are going at it is a joke. I guess you and I better catch the game this year or it isn't happening ever. Uncle VR wants to go too, but if it's scheduled in September, it's a deal breaker cause I have no time to get away.

What the fuck are you even saying?! You are like Don Vito when it comes to politics (and this isn't even a political topic might I add), the shit that comes out of your mouth.. or in this case off your keyboard, is completely nonsensical.

A right wing stance on this topic would be to let the Vikings leave if they wanted public money.. No new taxes, etc. etc. etc.. Dude, this is a bipartisan issue, so stop trying to draw imaginary lines in the sand when the tide's rising. You are wasting your damn time.

Oh that is funny. I was going to make reference to you getting snow but I was just making it up. I didn't have time to check the weather there.

It is windy and overcast here in northern IL. 43 with 25-40 mph winds. That too is tiresome but at least we don't have snow.

It is totally my fault though, I put the snoblower and shovels away, and started working on my lawn mowing equipment; plus I have to drive 90 miles this afternoon to attend my Father in Law's retirement party. Now they are free to sell there home and move less than a mile away from us. Formo got off easy.

beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
Zero2Cool (8-Aug) : Packers star Howton, first NFLPA prez, dies at 95 😔
