As you may recall, the crappy commercial construction market cost me my job back in February. Well, after my second interview today, I am 95% confident that I will be offered a proposal from my hopeful future employer some time tomorrow. A great, family run, higher-end residential roofing contractor. Normal work week with very little dinner time visits as most are scheduled throughout the daytime, no weekends unless I choose to do so to close a deal or let someone in the showroom, company truck/gas, phone and laptop, base/commission pay close to what I had after 20 years in my previous industry, and some of the nicest, most ethical folks I have ever met running the show.
If you hear someone squealing like a little girl in the wind tomorrow afternoon....know I am going big steak and a fine bottle of red to celebrate my return to productivity and purpose.
Adios, and keep your fingers crossed.
