Come on WPR! What's wrong with a little celebrating after a job well done? I, for one, always do the shoryuken at the completion my sermons and the championship belt thing after communion.

But that is what you young kids like these days so have at it.

Good for the Packers for doing so. Yeah, they have it made as it is, but that doesn't mean they have to act like drill sergeants all game. It's one thing to be arrogant and cocky just trying to get attention, but some good natured fun that brings a smile to the guys faces and isn't taking anything away from their game is OK in my book.

Take the edge off? You drive down field and score the go ahead TD. Get a pick 6 or throw a 60 yard TD pass and you tell me there is an edge that needs to be taken off? Common. The score takes the edge off. The hopping around that players do just is so much grandstanding. "HEY LOOK AT ME!!!" "Yeah we are. You just scored a TD or got a sack or made a tackle." Nuf said get back to the game.
I don't think that is drill sergeant mentality. I don't mind it if other guys come up and slap him on the pads or helmet or butt for that matter on their way to the bench or huddle. It is well deserved credit for his peers.
I suppose I never cared for it but when all the extra curricular stuff forced a change in the rules to police it. When they pull sharpies out of their sock or do the snake or whatever it is it has gone way too far and should be shut down. They want to get pumped up and laugh with each other, do it on the bench.

haha, geeez. I'm sure am glad you don't get your way in this regard!! It's too uptight. The Packers do it in a good natured fun way and I see no problem with it. Of course there is a limit but I have yet to see the Packers cross it.

I mean, people can hate it all they want I suppose but it's just an exercise in futility.

Nice, Pete. lol. I like the shuryuken the best. I made Pete do it after Rodgers' first TD pass of the night during the SB. Of course, he nailed it.

I know. I said I am a curmudgeon. I said I am old. NFL will never go back to the old ways.

As I said I think the over the top guys ruined it for me. All that TD crap and the guys who are celebrating for making a freaking tackle.

I like the mini belt. It was subtle and since he did it for the camera, it wasn't rubbing it in the face of the D. It was for the fans at home watching.

I don't like the grandiose, show you up celebrations. I think it lacks respect for the other team.

The fist pumps and stuff as the play is going away from him are fine. If a little dorky.

I don't have a lot of respect for people showing up the opponent. There is no honor in that.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming in terror like his passengers.

My favorite Rodgers celebration:
The one that happens only once a year. When he holds the Lombardi trophy over his head amid confetti at the Super Bowl.

That's the only one I want to see.

Of course I'm a geezer like wpr.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

Rodgers dancing with Marisa Miller.

Aaron needs to fire his barber. That haircut's awful. Also, he needs some fashion tips. Baggy clothes don't work on him at all.

I'd also hire a dancing coach. He was thinking too much when dancing instead of just letting loose.

Notice how Miller danced. She looked relaxed like it was no effort at all.

I agree with all points ZS said, but we all know he is not a fashion guy, he's a football guy. You won't see him doing jeans commercials (that was not in reference to anybody in particular......).

Mucky Tundra (18h) : @AaronNagler · 2m Both Jordan Love and Malik Willis were Limited participants at Packers practice today.
Zero2Cool (21h) : Johnson didn't make it until 2020. Ring 2023. 🤷 Personally, he should have been in years prior to Hall.
Zero2Cool (21h) : HUMP DAY
beast (21h) : Guys that have a good shot at making the NFL Hall of Fame usually get into their teams pretty fast
beast (21h) : Yeah, but is Kampman and the others in the NFL Hall of Fame?
Zero2Cool (21h) : Johnson was Hall of Fame, 2020. Should haev been in Ring a year later, not three years.
Zero2Cool (21h) : I could be wrong there though
Zero2Cool (21h) : Guys like Kampman, Tim Harris, Al Harris, etc all over 15 years. Hall of Fame is 5 year wait
Zero2Cool (21h) : I guess I see players in Packers Hall come way later
beast (21h) : Yeah, usually teams hall of fames are a much lower bar than the NFL
Zero2Cool (22h) : is it uncommon for Hall before Ring?
Zero2Cool (22h) : S Xavier McKinney named first-team All-Pro by NFLPA
beast (8-Jan) : I missed it, sorry, but he got into the NFL Hall of Fame years before that
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Jones took his sweet ole time!
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Yeah, he's in the ring of honor, just saw video and his name is up there
Zero2Cool (8-Jan) : Didn't they have a thing in 2023 for Jimmy's ring of honor? I swear I saw it
beast (8-Jan) : Though if they're legitimately trying to re-sign MM, then it makes sense.
beast (8-Jan) : Jerry Jones still hasn't put Jimmy Johnson in the Ring of Honor, but he's in the NFL's Hall of Fame, Jones is petty
Mucky Tundra (8-Jan) : Unless the Cowboys are planning an extension, seems kinda petty
beast (8-Jan) : Cowboys denied Bears request
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : From what I'm reading, MM is under contract through the 14th of January; after that he's free game
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : McCarthy let go or not extended??
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Chicago Bears have asked the Dallas Cowboys permission to interview Mike McCarthy for head coaching vacancy
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : The winners page that is
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : I was not hoping for that. It messes up the page lol
beast (6-Jan) : Thank you, and I was really opening we were going to get 4 or more tied for the top 3.
beast (6-Jan) : Thank you, and I was really opening we were going to get 4 or more tied for the top 3.

Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : congrats beast on 2024 !
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : congrats porky on winning 2023 pick'em! (oops sorry)
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : Packers have $60M+ of 2025 cap space on paper TODAY.
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Missed FG into a Lions TD; that'll do pig, that'll do
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : That might be it for the Vikings
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Oh so the refs do know what intentional grounding is
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : what the hell was that Goff?! Not much pressure and he just air mails it to Harrison
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : They really need to to get rid of the auto first down for illegal contact
Martha Careful (6-Jan) : watching the Vikings and Lions it's understandable why they swept the Packers. So much better product
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Even when GB got pressure he was throwing darts; vs no pressure on that last pass he just air mails an open guy
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : didn't have guys in his face ... pressure makes difference
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Where was this Darnold vs GB?
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : BALL DON'T LIE
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : how was that not a safety? Goff throws it at an offensive lineman
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Zero, I thought that was a given! ;)
Mucky Tundra (6-Jan) : Zero I looked through earlier and noticed the same thing. Bonkers year. I just wonder if beast put any money on games
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : I'm hoping for BLOODBATH. Pummel one another.
Zero2Cool (6-Jan) : 8 people in pick'em would have won any year with their total lol
