I'd put all my money on the Cubs.

Even I'm shocked that the Cubbies have more of a chance than the Brew Crew!

Until the Twins win a playoff game, I would put them at just above the Brewers, below the Cubs.

Thoughts on the Pujols stuff. I think he is delusional if he thinks he is going to get 10 years $300 mil. I don't think the Cardinals will give him that kind of a deal, nor should they.

Question is....if the Cardinals don't give him what he wants, who will? Anyone?

Some one will. Someone always is willing to pour tons of cash into players. That is why the salaries are so high and we pay so much for tickets.

I was listening to The SCORE this past weekend and Cubs fans are drooling over the idea that they could land Albert. The radio host pointed out that that 10 years would be too long of a commitment but he wouldn't mind the Cubs making an offer to Pujols for 3 or 4 years. I about peed my pants I was laughing so hard. This guy is totally clueless. If the Cub brass only offer 3, make it 4 years, unless it is for $100 mil a year Albert's agent won't even return their call.

Yeah, the whole Pujols thing is jacked up. Personally, I care only if he lands in the AL Central division.

This kind of situation is why the Yankees are bad for baseball in the current setting.. they overpay the market (Arod redo) and set the number in the minds of the top tier talent that is insane.

Them and that goofy ass (former) Texas owner Tom Hicks that went bankrupt.

Baseball will be the next in labor strife because most owners can bankroll those types of numbers.

Pujols-Cards contract talks end without deal

Albert Pujols will not sign a new contract with the Cardinals this spring. Negotiations came to an end on Wednesday morning, more than an hour prior to the slugger's self-imposed 11 a.m. CT Wednesday deadline. Thus, as he has said, he will break off all contract talks until after the season ends.
