The priorities have to be resigning Jenkins, either Hawk or Barnett, and, Colledge. I think Colledge is especially important if they make the move of Bulaga to LT. Losing Colledge would mean essentially a revamped Oline in that case. I don't like that thought.

Guys like Shields, Zombo, Walden, and Starks, are a blessing because they are cheap for now allowing Ted Thompson to address how he can hold onto some of these key players in the short term. Thompson has worked this from the financial aspect to his advantage by not having overpaid FA's allowing him to keep core players. You sign a Peppers like Chicago who costs more than all these guys combined by a bunch and next thing you know good core players are out the door.

I am pumped by what the roster will look like to start next year. I anticipate what may be the strongest 53 top to bottom that I can name in 50 years watching this team. When you have several starters making not much above minimum it gives the where with all to hold onto just about anybody they want and Ted loves resigning core players.

Zero I think i agree with you on everyone...Ecept for Brad Jones. Lets look at who he got replaced by. Two no name players. And I don't mean that as anything bad against either Zambo or Walden. But I think there is less promise in those two guys. No question they could turn out to be very good players. But you never know how a rookie carries over to the next season. And when you have a guy like Jones with experience, even if he didn't start next year...well...we all saw how valuable depth was this year.

I agree with everything except on Brad Jones I think he stays. He never lost his job. He just got hurt.

I think Zombo and Walden > Brad Jones. Mike didn't have anything nice to say about him during the offseason or early in the season. I'd put money on it he's gone. Unless he comes out this offseason very strong and gives the coaches something to believe he'll actually finish a season on the field, not the bench/IR.

It doesn't matter how good you are if you're not on the field and I believe Brad Jones has some health issues that the Packers are not going to be soft with.

Really... just like they weren't soft with Harrell for what going on 3 years now?

I think him being a RFA, they will tender him and he will have an opportunity to make this club. It will be up to him if he actually can make it. IMO.

I didn't know Brad Jones was a 1st round draft pick in which we gave millions of dollars to and trying to get a return on the money spent. I thought he was a 6th or 7th rounder, my mistake.

Okay.. I will use DeShawn Wynn, you know a 7th rounder, whom got multiple chances in two stints. šŸ˜‰

And what I am saying is Jones played well as a rookie and had his second season cut short by injury.. btw, in which I tried to play through because his coach called him out publicly, and wound up hurting it worse and was placed on IR.

He is entering his 3rd season.. I anticipate him being given a shot to earn a spot based on the number of chances other players have been given.

That is all.. wanna wager that Jones is in TC next season? šŸ™‚
