I still think we keep Barnett & Hawk if they are willing to restructure. This season has showed us the value of depth. Hawk & Barnett both provide leadership out on the field. I think Barnett provides a little more fire, but a lot more pain-in-the-ass moments. You are not going to find players like Zombo, Walden, Green & Shields in the trash heap every year. We are very fortunate these guys panned out and played huge roles in our path to the Super Bowl. I'd be okay with dumping Chillar, because I think he a tad overpayed for only really excelling in one skill set (covering TEs).

Brad Jones is an upgrade over Francois, Poppinga, Briggs etc. He's smart and has played good football for us (just not this year). He's in.

We obviously keep Finley & Grant. Quarless has James Jones-like hands, I don't trust him to pick that 3rd down. Grant & Starks provide a formidable duo with similar styles. Can't wait to see them together.

I agree with all of these. The only one that I am borderline on is Chillar/Poppinga. Might not be a bad idea to switch them around. However, if we week Hawk, then we will need another nimble LB, which Chillar is when compared to Poppinga. Depends on what happens with Hawk.

Addendum: we need to start addressing what happens when Woody leaves. As I already mentioned in another thread, Shields will step up, but who takes his place? Will we draft to fill the position again, or is that individual already in this list?

Hawk is going to be a career Packer. Barnett's a tool so he either gets traded in the draft or cut. I see him being cut and signing with the Queens.

Do we have enough in house, to let Colledge walk? This is our biggest off season question. He is very serviceable, but could be better in run blocking. I don't know this answer, cause he can play some pretty good football, and is very seldom ever hurt.

Agreed except for Brad Jones. He's young and if his injury isn't that bad, keep him. Hope to get some draft picks for some of the others.

I really hope the Packers stick with Colledge. Our offensive line had played well together over the last several weeks and Colledge is a very dependable player, like you said...he is never hurt.

Yeah as for the OL all we need to do is come up with somebody that can play tackle when Cliffy is done, and it looks like Newhouse might be the man. However, like always, we need to make sure we have solid backups. I highly doubt that Ted Thompson won't pick somebody up in the draft or through FA this year.

Burnett, Morgan --- S --- At worst, he's quality depth at SS. Definitely a keep.
Chillar, Brandon --- LB --- He's probably our best cover TE, and with the extension he signed, he'll be back.
Finley, Jermichael --- TE --- Need to see if he can still be an impact player after knee surgery. Defintely will be back.
Grant, Ryan --- RB --- He probably could have played late in the season. He's still the starter imo and will compete with Starks for carries.
Martin, Derrick --- S --- A good special teamer and backup to Nick Collins. Keeper.
Neal, Mike --- DE --- If Jenkins walks, he'll definitely be needed. Keep.
Newhouse, Marshall --- G/T --- With Spitz and Colledge's futures in question, he'll be brought back to compete for a job.
Barnett, Nick --- LB --- 50/50 right now. He's never been all that great in the 3-4 even when healthy. Packers may trade him for what they can get, extend Hawk, and draft a develop mental prospect to play behind Bishop.
Bell, Josh --- CB --- Probably too much depth at CB now to make the final 53-man roster. Will at least be a camp body.
Harrell, Justin --- DE --- Harrell made the team last year due to the suspension of Jolly. With the depth we have, he's going to have a hard time making the roster again. He probably gets training camp again to compete for a job, but he's firmly behind Raji, Jenkins, Pickett, Neal, Jolly, and Green on the depth chart. I don't see him being kept around for another year.
Havner, Spencer --- TE --- We carried 4 TEs this past year. Will at least get a chance to compete for a job in camp.
Jones, Brad --- LB --- imo, the ROLB job is still wide open. Will get a chance to compete because he's a smart player.
Levine, Anthony --- S --- Safety depth could be a concern if Peprah and Bigby both go. Will be a camp body at worst.
Poppinga, Brady --- LB --- Everyone's been saying he'd be cut the last two years but still sticks around. The team likes his veteran leadership in the locker room even if he's just average at best. He'll get a chance to compete for a job just like everyone else.
Smith, Anthony --- S --- If both Bigby and Peprah are gone, I could see him being brought back to compete for a job.
Tauscher, Mark --- T --- Tauscher will be cut because he won't be worth the salary he is due nxt year as a backup. I could see him being signed to a cheap one year deal though because at worst he's a solid veteran who'd be an okay backup to Bulaga since he knows our system quite well.
