At least he went one whole presser without the "pad level" thingy.

He just must have forgot to mention it.
I'm SURE it was on his notes.
You know.......the ones he had 16 copies made of, so he could read them after EVERY game.

He SHOULD call them out publicly.
Make them "man up" or get the hell off the field.
Obviously the other way hasn't worked.

So I take it you disagree that focus and discipline are the problem? The problem is they feel fine about the media's perception of their game, so that's what the coach needs to fix by talking badly about them to the press?

Starting to lose faith in our HC.

It may seem like I personally am, but really I have a ton of confidence in MM overall.

He coached this team up very well last year.. we overachieved greatly... but we seen strides of growth last year, other than the oline consistency.. but late in the year even they showed improvement.

So my expectations for this year were solid smart play, control the line of scrimmage and weather the growing pains of a first time starting QB.

Boy, I had that one wrong.

If you can't tell... this offensive line issues are in the line of fire for me.. to me it is pathetic that you have the same group of players together this long and have so many communication and fundamental issues..

Ahhh.. piss on it.. talking about it doesn't help.. next week is another week to see if they can get it done. 😉

Well.....lets see.
He has yet to call them out publicly.
They keep making the SAME mistakes over and over every week.
Maybe if they were humiliated a little, they would take things more seriously.
I'm not saying for sure it would work, but what have you got to lose? It isn't working HIS way, is it???
I have seen coaches blow up and get mad, and it can light a fire under his guys.
Maybe if he stopped making excuses for their lousy play and held them ACCOUNTABLE in public they would get their you-know-what together.

Public humiliation seems a poor team tactic, but that's just my opinion.

How about this. MM says:
"You know what? I'm tired of making excuses for these guys every week. They are supposed to be professionals, and SHOULD know how to do their jobs by now. If they don't, they will be unemployed real soon."

Hey,,.......it MIGHT work.

5-1 against the Vikings.

"Packnic" wrote:

What is his record against the Bears?

My point here, is past record plays little into how the team played Sunday.. we are hitting a stretch of consecutive games with iff play along the lines and penalties at a alarming rate.

He, his staff and the players need to correct this pyramid of mistakes.. hearing for weeks upon weeks that it needs to be fixed isn't going to get the job down.

Results in sharper play will..

I understand that. results talk. and right now its silent.

my only point is that getting rid of McCarthy is a ridiculous idea. one week we are talking about how great he is, the next about how terrible his play calling is and how he should be fired for losing to the Vikings once out of 6.

your point about the Bears is well taken .. but you wont find me coming on this board next week after we win demanding that McCarthy gets a contract extension because he is 1-5 against the Bears. Hyperbole goes both ways.

Not to mention that if Mason Crosby kicks that feild goal 10 more feet to the left. NOT ONE word would have been said about Mike.

I am just calling for some sensibility thats all.
