he could be due 17 cents next year and it wouldn't matter...what it comes down to is a wasted spot on the 53 roster.

In the mid 90s, and now the Packers' cuts are REALLY good players and we can't afford to let another good body at FB, DL, or wherever it may be walk away to the Cards or Titans because we want to keep someone cheap who showed potential in 2002.

I'm just writing this because I think it's awesome that a Justin Harrell thread has been at the top of the page for much of the night after a playoff win, and I'd hate to see it drop back down.

I don't even want to see Harrell on the 80-man roster, but I think it's an unfortunate reality that he will be, unless the Packers draft an amazing defensive lineman in April.

Hopefully, to amend what was said above, he'll have the decency to land on IR before the 80-man roster is even assembled. Load him on the rickety cart behind that broken-down, floppy-eared donkey and let him take his $15.6 million to the glue factory in peace.

1) The price is right. There is so much down the drain that he is now cheap! Even if given an injury settlement it will not be large.

2) You never know about injuries. Wynn was brought back after being cut.

3) How many figured Charlie Peprah would make the team let alone play well. Harrell might possibly have such a season.

4) There is competition for D-line jobs and who knows what will happen with Jolly. Wynn and C. J. Wilson have gained valuable experience.

5) Just another reality television show.

1. With his injury history, I think any price would be too high.

2. I don't understand your point.

3. What does Peprah have to do with Harrell? Peprah does not have an extensive injury history.

4. Even without Harrell, we should have eight D-linemen competing for six roster spots: Jenkins, Raji, Pickett, Neal, Wilson, Wynn, Green, and Jolly. If Jenkins is not resigned, we'll still have seven. Wilson and Wynn have both proven themselves to be legit, which has given us good depth.

5. Huh?

I personally doubt he will be able to break into the line up next year, even if he can stay healthy.

Jenkins, Raji, Jolly, Pickett, Neal and Green.

Jenkins isn't a sure thing to be back next season, unfortunately. That would be an excellent rotation though and I don't see Harrell fitting in regardless of Jenkins status

Every year there is angst over these key players even though Ted Thompson has repeatedly shown the ability to resign the important core players. He gets flack for not signing outside FA's but you can't get him for making sure the good one's don't get away if he wants them here.

I still think he is too talented to not give a shot. The team seems to think so.

Personally I don't care either way if he makes the team better. I have no investment in him being cut or making the team.

I think the roster may be too deep to gamble on him being healthy unless he is so much more talented that he is worth the risk. But I have not seen that.

I doubt he makes the roster, even healthy.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.
