I'm mainly posting this to spite Greg C. for trying to keep the Justin Harrell thread at the top of the list, but...

At the beginning of the broadcast Fox mentioned Bulaga and Clifton had switched at LT/RT at the beginning of the game.

I was watching a number of other things throughout the game, unfortunately NOT paying much attention to this. Did anyone else take note of this, or if they reverted back to their 'usual' positions later in the game?

I just watched it again. They switched ends for the second play of the game. Then they switched back on the third play. I have no idea why they did this for that one play.

very strange...did they get lost out coming out of the huddle? When Aikman mentioned that I was stunned because the playoffs seem like a curious time to be switching positions, espeically one as crucial as the tackles are.

I didn't get it either,I would rather see an unbalanced line but it seemed odd to do that.

Must have been something to do with blocking trent cole on the other side

It was just a mind game thing designed to confuse and get the other team's coaches thinking and wondering about something minor instead of paying attention to other things going on.

Maybe some mobster in Vegas made a weird bet that they would switch sides and then he paid off Clifton and Bulaga to do that.

When I participated (as a test subject) in a research project investigating the peculiar psychological condition known as syneesthesia, I was a bit bemused to note that the first question on the questionnaire was "Do you frequently confuse your left and your right?" -- to which I embarrassedly had to answer "yes."

Maybe Bulaga and Clifton are synaesthetes?

You guys are all idiots. This was a direct ploy by Mike McCarthy/Ted Thompson to reduce Clifton's value when it comes time to renegotiate his contract. Now they can say Bulaga has playoff experience at LT. 😉

Pretty sure it was a throw off to slide protection towards Cole. They did it for just the one play so it might of been to confuse the DC for one drive. Other then that it can't be a bad sign they trust BB for atleast one play on the left side in the playoffs.
