How about we go get Asomugha, he just became a free agent. Put Woodson at safety, and Shields stays at Nickel. It gives me wood thinking about it.

Yeah, we're not getting Asomugha, but I'm okay with that. I like Shields, and I think Woodson has enough left in the tank to give Sam the time he needs to develop into a starting caliber corner. A nice problem to have.

My next jersey, um, might get a Reggie White one, the classics are the best because the guy can't get traded or send elicit text messages.

TwinkieGorilla good thread, this is a good contribution.

During the summer I plan on setting up another jersey purchase dealio. I'm wanting a couple more myself. 🙂

I was wondering about this. I think his salary was really high this year because of the lack of salary cap. I tried finding, but failed during the game a list of CB's who were highest paid in '09, most recent year of the salary cap. I think lots of team's took advantage of the no cap.

I do agree, I don't think he'll land in Green Bay, even if we offered 8-10 million a year. I know Charles Woodson thinks he's a supperb talent and last year there were reports (whichever year Nnamdi was franchised) that Charles advocated getting Nnamdi to Ted Thompson.

...I will be purchasing a #38 jersey to wear as my game-time Packer pride-wear next year. CM3 might win DPOY, but Tramon has impressed me the most out of anyone on our team this year. One of the most reliable cover corners I've ever seen on our team, and the incredible maturation he went from last year to this year...he's like our goddamn Revis-in-training.

Today's game ended exactly how I wanted...

...in the hands of #38.

He has two things on you Twinkie.

1. He paid less for his #38 Jersey.

2. He is a better Packer Fan then you could ever be.

That is a fact you fair weather moron.

Hope I made you feel like an idiot. (See my sig below.)

I remember this contract because of the tie to the franchise QB number.. Al went a bit crazy with that deal.

Nnamdi Asomugha and the Oakland Raiders agreed to terms on a six-year contract that will bring the All-Pro cornerback $28.5 million guaranteed over the next two years, a source familiar with the negotiations said today.

Agent Tom Condon forwarded the proposed contract to the NFL's Management Council this morning, which the council approved.

Asomugha's contract voids after the second season unless the Raiders pay him $16.8 million for 2011 or the franchise tag for a quarterback, whichever is higher.

Oh come Zero, that was really good, and I like both of them. Nobody ever steps in the middle of Formo and me; and that can get downright brutal.

And I would greatly appreciate not being treated like an outsider or a child on a forum I've been a part of for years. Clean it out yourself if you don't like it. Or ban me. I couldn't care less. I appreciate all you do but I'm not bowing to you like you're my superior. Sorry.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.
