Fine you disagree.. but through in an insult for measure. Nice.

I didn't throw an insult, not at all. I just don't see how anyone can say the game can be iced while there is still a full two quarters to play. That just sounds so unreasonable to me, especially 21 - 3 against a team that threw up 28 in 8 minutes in the end of a fourth quarter.

Sorry man, I just don't see it being something within reason. I don't mean it as an insult.

No biggy.. just ironic is all. No worries.

But with our defense.. and more importantly our secondary and the way we have played defense consistently for weeks. I don't see them coming back in that game. A game that they couldn't string more than a handful of plays together effectively and we were sitting on the big play.

Of course the game isn't over and we can quit.. but I don't see our defense collapsing like the Giants.

And we forgot about the momentum that we grab with a late TD in the first.

That is all.

They win and people still find something to complain about.

I'm not crying, just saying McCarthey is a pussy. Put the game on ice then play conservative. If Tramon wouldn't have baited that last throw, we could have lost.

I said in the chat that Vick would do something stupid on that last drive and we'll win. That said, I would have MUCH preferred that we played aggressively with our last drive and got enough first downs to run out the clock and leave Vick 0 seconds. I would have much more preferred to win the game that way.

I'm missing a lot, I don't see the irony here either. Can I use that I'm cutting the highlight video as my excuse?

Anyhooters, McCarthy is kind of known for going soft with a lead. That with the Eagles throwing up 28 in 8 minutes ... I just don't see how we could be comfortable in the first half with 21 - 3. But we would have had momentum, PLUS the ball so maybe so.

Go.Pack.Go, you carry this torch after every narrow Packers win, and it's just as illogical after this close win as it is after every such win. Yes, it worked out in the end (though may I remind you the Packers required a virtual MIRACLE to ice this game in the very last minute). Yes, they got the victory. But does that absolve the team of the mistakes they made? Absolutely not. If anything, it raises the urgency caused by these mistakes. Sure, it all worked out in the end, but those very same mistakes could easily kills the Packers' chances in the next game (what's their record in close games again?) against a team that plays nearly flawless ball at home. The negative trends need to be fixed -- yes, even during victories -- because they tend to rear their ugly head with irreparable consequences at the worst possible times.

If the Packers were steamrolling through their competition, your point might have more validity. But the fact that the Packers are objectively LOUSY in close games shows that calling them on their poor fundamentals and undisciplined plays is more than justified. And scoffing at people who point out those problems makes you look like an out-of-touch idealist.

Yes, the Packers won. Yes, we're happy about it. That doesn't mean there aren't some highly concerning things that happened in this game that could easily doom them next week.
