Any word on whether or not he'll be good to go next Sunday?

It is too early to tell. I am sure he'll do everything he can to play and they could use him because their front seven could give the Philadelphia offensive line fits. Jenkins only makes things better for the Packers.

I've heard conflicting rumors of him being done for the season, or the Packers "hedging their bets" that they'd make the playoffs, w/out him so he could be as close to 100% as possible.

Initially it was reported to be only a 2 week injury, for whatever that's worth.

Can't remember where I read it, Press G or JSonline, but it was said he had a shot this week but the staff "erred on side of caution" and held him out. Implied he'd be go for next week.

Right, they said he was better but still not 100%. He did a little more in practice this week than he did in the past few weeks.

Ya thats how I interpreted it, that he was being held out because he wasn't fully ready but that he could be ready for next week, so he was rested.

Even if he's not fully ready, I think he'll probably try and play through the pain. In the playoffs, things are different because of the stakes.

One guy the Packers will be watching closely this week is end Cullen Jenkins, whose calf injury has kept him out of the last four games. Jenkins did a little bit of running last week and has made progress, but he's not out of the woods yet.

The medical staff wants him to continue to strengthen the muscle so that it holds up when he comes back. He said there's a good chance he would test it Monday or Tuesday to see if he could practice late this week.

"I still have some progress to make and we still have some testing to do, but right now I think I should be able to pass all that stuff, and pass it in time to get out on the field for some practice time this week," Jenkins said.

Jason Wilde spoke with Cullen last night and he told him he was confident he'd be able to play this week.

He could use some rest before the Falcons game.

The Packers are going to beat the Eagles by more than 20 points. Cullen isn't needed yet.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
