I agree that's why I think the 10 yard dash time is a hell lot more important the the 40 yard dash time. But the 10 and 20 yard dash times are one of the least hyped stats in the combine numbers and the 40 is one of the most hyped.

Guys run 10 yard dashes a lot more than they run 40 in the NFL mainly because you have to run 10 before you can run 40... and how often do guys run 40 yards? other than maybe WR/CB/S...

The 10 yard time is about quickness... which quickness plus physicness plus football smarts usually equals good football player... maybe not great but good...

I'm not to much,It's hard not to be excited thoe that he played well.
He still needs a lot work with stuff and we haven't seen him block much.
And we need to see how durable he will become the rest of the year.

They do a ten yard dash at the combine? I guess it's underhyped because I never even heard about it. If they run a ten yard dash, they shouldn't even bother with a 40. Do scouts really put more stock in the 40, or are the writers just being lazy by not mentioning the 10 yard dash?
