You all have pretty good taste in movies. The majority of the ones listed I like.

Top 5s are hard to do. I got a list of about 20 or 30. It will take a while to cut it down to 5.

If I don't separate my great movies list from my guilty pleasures, then I could get the job done. Fine, I'll do that.

Pulp Fiction, Harry Potter 3, Ladyhawke, The Gods Must Be Crazy, Airplane, Ferris Beuller, Revenge of the Nerds, Lord of the Rings 2, Pan's Labyrinth, Pirates of the Caribbean.

That's about as much as I can cut it down. I don't want to cut any of those off my list.

I'd rather laugh than see a "great film" so my list is pretty "shallow." I like great films, don't get me wrong. Also, I love fantasy. Wish there were more that were well done. It's rare they get it right.

That's such a great movie. Can't find it ANYWHERE. Another great classic is 'The Jerk', which we just got as a gift last weekend.

I just didn't like LotR 3 as much as the other two, and #2 barely better than #1. That's why I only mentioned #2. I was tempted to name all 3 like you did.
