I worked security for Vince Vaughn and his table one night at the club I used to work at in Chicago. Dude was completely wasted and wasted all his money. Tried tipping me $3. Was I mad? Well, a little bit. But in the end...I got to meet Vince Vaughn.
And I was still getting paid anyways.

Since we've made this a celebrity tipping thread instead of about Aaron Rodgers...

Some of you may know of this story already, but Favre gave a buddy of mine who is a delivery guy for a pizza company a $50 for two pizza's and some soda. It was something like a 20 plus tip.

Personally, I think it is Ted's fault. Bastard!

I agree.
I bet Ted MADE him tip only $30.
You DO realize a team's GM controls 100% of what a football player does, even on his own time.......yeah....THATS it!!!LOLOLOL!!!
(I know you were kidding Trippster......in case anyone reads my response and thinks it's meant towards you!)

There's no law that says you have to tip ANYTHING. But if the service was good, it shows class to tip decently.
Last week i read in "Dear Abbey" (I'm gonna catch crap for admitting that) where someone asked what was correct to tip. If the service was great she said 20%. And, if you couldn't afford a decent tip, you shouldn't be eatting at the place. That last line kind of ticked me off. I and my wife don't go out to "fancy" places very often, as we can't afford it. (My idea of "fancy" is where we would drop $50 between the 2 of us) We do that maybe once or twice a year. If the service was good I'll tip 15%, as thats about the most i can afford. I know the wait staff works on mostly tips, and i worked at a couple of restaurants when i was young. If i could afford it, i would LOVE to tip lots more. But sometimes i just don't have it.
Rich people SHOULD give a tip based on the quality of service, as they have the "disposable income".
If i had the money, and left $30 on a $800 bill, i'd be embarrassed. Thats not even a 4% tip. But thats just me.

Tipping is not just for rich people Cheesey. I agree with Abbey. If you cannot afford to leave the 20% tip for good service then you really should re evaluate if spending the cash to eat there is a financially prudent decision in the first place. It is simply the cost of eating out.

Personally, I would much rather spend the money from the nice restaurant on a much nicer meal that I would cook myself. For $50 I can make an outrageously nice dinner with drinks!

Sound like Arod was the one that paid the bill so that is why he was singled out and responsible. Maybe he thought the service was horrendous. IF that were the case then he should have also said something to the manager. But an $800 dollar bill for a bunch of drunks deserves a $160 tip.

On the other hand, I guess it is also depended on the AMOUNT of service is required. If I ordered an $800 bottle of Champagne and all the waiter did was bring the bottle and 4 glasses, do they deserve $160 for the walk to the cooler and back? I think not.

So I wuess I am playing both sides of this issue. I see it from everyone's point of view.

I shall now run for some type of office. I have become a politician. :cyclopsani:
