I want to see the Packers offense SHOW UP this week. I want them to consistently move the chains, even though we ALL know they will throw deep to test the 'Gurlz' safeties. And because throwing deep is MM's philosophy.
But I want to see them at least show up and kick some fucking ass.
If they play down to the shitty level of the Cowboys even if they win it will just go to show that MM is a piece of shit. Do NOT let these assholes hang around.
I have full confidence in the defense, btw. Woody, Collins and Tramon will all get INTs. Give one to an LB too. Shields might even get in on the action. Clay will get at least 3 sacks.
But the offense. My god. PLEASE f'n start to show up once in awhile. Over/under for third down percentage is 29%.
And does anyone really think Masthay can have consecutive games without a shank?
Over/under on James Jones drops is 3.5.

I only care about the W.

But sure, it would be nice to see some offensive consitency, and for Aaron to have a good game for once.

If this does not happen, then Dom Capers needs to be fired.

I mean seriously, his players will not have produced against a team in free fall. I mean it's not like Nick Collins leads the Packers with 4 dropped INTs or something, showing he needs to be better making INTs. It's not like Clay and Charles have missed most of the practices this week, or that Charles Woodson leads all our CBs with most completions allowed over 20 yards and most TDs given up. It's not like Dom Capers is barely rushing more than 4 players to try and make life a little easier for Clay.

Oh, wait. Nick Collins does lead the team with 4 dropped INTs (almost accounting for half of the team's 10 total INT drops); Clay and Woodson did miss practices this week; Woodson is statistically the worst CB we have and a shell of his 1-turnover-produced-per-game self last year; Dom is rushing more than 4 players less than 30% of the defensive snaps this year.

My point? Well, clearly coaches can do things to help their players make plays, but it's the players who go out on the field that are expected to produce. Not every failure is the result of a coach!

My fucking goodness, the game has not even started and you have already deduced that any less-than-stellar play on offense will be the direct fault of McCarthy. You're being beyond unfair; it's like you have a personal grudge against McCarthy. If you, for example, think all clouds are shaped like a penis, then guess what: you'll see nothing but penis shaped clouds! Going into a game with a preconceived notion of who deserves all the blame is completely irrational.

It's not like Aaron will get concussed and as a result his play will take a nose dive; that has never happened, certainly not in the Washington game this year. No, clearly anything that goes wrong cannot be the fault of failed execution by players; McCarthy must have called a shit play / game-planned badly.

My fucking goodness, talk about prejudice. I have to wonder if McCarthy ever did anything to you personally for you to hate him this much.

Collins drops INTs, Woody giving up completions, Clay missing time. And yet, the defense still shows up consistently and is winning us games, with no help whatsoever from the mf'ing offense.
I've said it before and I will reiterate: Capers gets more than the sum of his parts. MM gets less. At least until week 10.

I'd have to agree with nerdmann, the defense has been winning us games lately. What Capers has done with all the injuries has been outstanding. Sure the offense has had injuries too but you can't point to them in a game and flat out say they won that one. It is obvious they haven't been in rhythm yet. Yet.

Honestly I think some are over rated the defense... yeah they shut down the Jets... but that Jets offense passing isn't near the best... Capers might be able to trick Kitna into a another huge INT game... but the coverage units will have their hands full...

Also the Cowboys have a lot of talent on their team... just their team hasn't been able to work together but they still have talent...

As for the offense they seriously do need to wake up and get out of the slump but if they fail it doesn't mean it's always MM fault...

I think they need to work on the run blocking and running it more. I've seen to many times when most of the OL guys would do a good job but one block would be missed and ruin the whole play...

I think MM has to set a tone with offense at some point that we're going to run it even if you miss the blocks so you better get the blocks... which will open up the passing game.

and +1 to the kitty pic.

Mucky Tundra (15h) : Matthew Golden=DAWG (so load the wagons!!) !!!!!
dfosterf (18-Aug) : We do have good depth at running back imo. Still so frustrating. Bitching about it is a futile excercise, which I plan to do anyway.
Mucky Tundra (17-Aug) : Whoops, I thought Zero was saying it was a surprise the Brewers lost and not Lloyd being hurt
Mucky Tundra (17-Aug) : Not a surprise; inevitable

dfosterf (13-Aug) : a lower back injury
dfosterf (13-Aug) : Doubs says he's "fine" after injury scare. Some reported it as z
Mucky Tundra (13-Aug) : With LVN that is; need to see what happens in the next practice
Mucky Tundra (13-Aug) : beast, reading about what happened, it sounded like one of those "two guys collide and are moving slow afterwards" type of deals
beast (12-Aug) : I believe Musgrave has been injured every single season since at least a Sophomore in highschool
packerfanoutwest (12-Aug) : Matt LaFleur: “Highly unlikely” Jordan Love plays more this preseason
dfosterf (12-Aug) : Doubs, Savion Williams, LVN, Musgrave all banged up to one degree or another, missing one here I forget

Mucky Tundra (9-Aug) : THE GREEN BAY PACKERS ARE PLAYING FOOTBALL TONIGHT!!!!!! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!!!!
Zero2Cool (9-Aug) : Woo-hoo
TheKanataThrilla (9-Aug) : NFL Network is broadcasting the game tonight, but not in Canada. Not sure why as no local television is showing the game.
beast (8-Aug) : But the Return from IR designations had to be applied by the 53 man cutdown.
beast (8-Aug) : It's a new rule, so it's not clear, but my understanding was that they could be IR'd at any time
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : *had to be IRed at 53
Mucky Tundra (8-Aug) : beast, I thought the designate return from IR players had to be IR at cutdowns to 53, not before
beast (8-Aug) : It's a brand new rule, either last season or this season, prior, all pre-season IRs were done for the season
beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
