Same here. The guy hasn't played football in two years. They can't expect him to come in and play now, nor should they.

Do you have a link to what you are talking about?

Not sure if you mean the bit about Harris being activated Monday or Harris being agitated.

Harris being activated Monday: two things synthesized lead me to this: McCarthy's Monday Press Conference after the Jets win, saying no decision had to be made on PUP players before Monday (link , and CB coach Joe Whitt Jr. saying he believes Harris to be on track with his recovery (article link, second last section) .

Harris seeming agitated: Here.  It's a video of his interview yesterday, and from 1:30 on he makes it pretty clear he's been ready to go and he even had his son at Lambeau against the Vikings (but won't this week), implying he thought he'd be activated for that game.

I think they'll activate Starks if they can find a spot for him.

I think Harris is going to take one of those LB spots unless they IR CB Lee (I don't know how bad he's hurt) or someone else

Starks probably won't be on IR unless he is hurt. Which I am assuming he isn't. He said he was healthy enough to play in pre-season. They may hedge their bets by not activating him until Monday to give Nance one more shot at proving himself useful. If he doesn't, I expect Nance to be released and Starks activated.

There is always a chance someone gets hurt on Sunday. In which case, you don't want to cut someone until you have to. You may have an open spot to fill then. You don't want to be 3 people short and only have 2 to come in.
I want to go out like my Grandpa did. Peacefully in his sleep.

I think they IR him, just because Ted Thompson likes to keep as many of his guys as possible.

JMHO, Bigby activated 1. because of numbers, 2. He will probably get work on ST's, maybe even returning kciks or punts.
I feel bad for Al, but waiting till Monday for him seems to be the thing to do. Someone else said it, Packers have to get through todays game injury free, then the picture will be much clearer as to what they can do as far as player move.

I can't wait for Al to get back on the field, imagine the things that Woody could be doing with a Healthy Harris and Williams.
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

With Starks does he actually have to be injured to be put on IR or is one of the rules of the PUP list that any player on it can be placed on IR irrespective of their actual injury status?

My guess it is the latter.

If he's not injured and the Packers put him on IR, he can dispute it and get released pending a physical that he passes. I think something similar happened this year with Will Blackmon (who'll return kicks for the Giants today).
