I don't understand why people think just because someone has lots of money they should throw it around like they have an endless amount.

Although, I agree. I don't think it'd kill him to have dropped a bill or two because that kind of stuff gives you good pub instead of... well ... this.

I'm all for tipping, but to make a blog/post crying about it? What's that going to prove? True or False, this individual lost a lot of respect from me. I wonder if he makes a note of every person who doesn't tip as much as THEY feel should be.

If Aaron didn't give a tip at all, yea that's shady. We all know they don't paid too well and make their coin off the tips. And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Aaron didn't tip.

Mostly I was using the thread to bitch about Bill Gates, but even more so saw it as an opportunity to post my youtube link ... that's some cold-blooded non-tippin' action... dude got triple stiffed. First on the tip, then in the head, then, just to make damn sure, he got to get capped for his troubles. How could I possibly resist postin' that? I'm just sayin'...

I agree that I find it stupid when people expect a huge tip just cause someones rich. The only other that bothers me is these days it seems tipping is just expected. I may be young but I still remember when you actually tipped based on service. Not saying anything about Rodgers situation but I know while I usually tip if I get piss poor service I'm not just giving you a tip for nothing

Let me get this right..

The group supposedly cleared out half of the bar because they were hellen keller drunk? and THIS person allowed them to do it??

More is wrong with this story then just getting screwed out of a tip..Which i think is little rotten IF it really was only 30$

but if they were "hellen keller" drunk how did they see what they were giving out?

Maybe they thought it was three $50 bills? and not three $10 bills?

Why was Aaron held accountable for other ADULTS actions? Just because he was with them, doesn't mean he should be the one being bitched at for being loud and "drunk."

He made it seem like it was all Aaron's fault that they acted the way they did. IMO you tip as you see fit, so maybe their efforts weren't as deserving as they make out?

I've seen a couple responses of this nature in this thread.

Keep in mind, this is an internet message board, and the particular sub-topic in which it was posted is titled The Rant/Rave Thread. It's just a forum for members to post about trivial things in their life that cheered them up or pissed them off.

The only reason Aaron's name was included is because he's a recognizable figure. Some of you may be reading way too into this. I just posted it because I found it to be a somewhat humorous first hand account of an NFL player during his bye week.

The letter is titled...Dear Mr. Aaron Rodgers. 🤔

I've never run into him in Chico so couldn't verify this one way or another.

I do know however that Bill Gates tips $1, regardless of the price of the food or how good or bad the service was. If I were running a restaurant in Redmond/Bellevue, I'd refuse service to him and his party. I hate seeing my servers get dissed like that.

Now I'm in a really bad mood. It has been 2 years since Warren Buffett threw 37 billion, ya that's billion, at Bill Gates and his foundation. I would think that Bill could swing more than a buck... what a consumate asswipe, and I don't give a damn what good he's doing with his money, especially in light of the fact that the bulk of it isn't even his in the first place. Now I'm re-pissed at Warren, too. Thanks, Zombie, for sharing... friggin' rich assholes.... hey, Warren, you could've done some real good with that money instead of entrusting it to the computer geek that is too friggin' stupid to develop a decent OS with the whole friggin' world helping... he can't even make a commercial that makes sense or has any humor with Jerry friggin' Seinfeld helping....

Take it easy. This is a message board. Just because something is posted here does not make it true. I do respect Zombie and tend to believe what he says but where are the facts?
Zombie you say you know it to be true. Did Bill stiff you or someone in your family? One of your friends? Has he given a press release to that effect telling people not to expect a handout from him? Has someone followed him around and watched how much he gave to waitresses over a month's time?
I suppose I am being a bit of a :pottytrain2: over this but to go off without meeting the man is just not right.

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
    Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
    Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
    Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
    Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
    wpr (9-Apr) : yay

Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
