no kidding. Zombie and I have loved his potential, but he took a huge step backwards v. the Jets.

It was one game--a game in which he was guarded mostly by Derrell Revis. He'll be fine.

He had a game changer hit him right in the hands and he dropped it. He has to make that catch, so I agree, it was a step back after he played well vs. the Vikings.

I said it once, I'll say it again.

Greg Jennings owns Darrelle Revis. Fact.

That is quite good, Beast.

Let me point out that you can't really go downhill when you're playing average football, while you've always been an average player. Like in Lee's case. He should be very thankful for Favre and his TE love.

So should Shiancoe, btw.

The guy I'm really looking for is Brett Swain. Of course he won't be the nr. 1 or 2 receiver, but he might actually get some looks this game. Making his first catch in the regular season with Driver out at NY was a good sign that he'll be more involved in the offense.

I really wouldn't mind a break-out performance from either Jones or Nelson. It'd be great if Jones would come out without the Donte Stallworth hands for once. Not dropping half the balls thrown to him.

And it'd be great if Nelson, like beast already said, rediscovered himself and started playing some good football.

I very much doubt that either is the long time solution opposite of Jennings, but they're great depth. I wouldn't be surprised if we drafted another WR next year. Someone who fits that Driver/Jennings mold a bit more. You know, like Andre Roberts

I hope that the time off makes Driver back to 100%. If the time off doesn't, it doesn't bode well for us. It's been obvious he hasn't been 100% for awhile.
When he is 100%, he's HUGE.

Rock- I laughed when Swain caught that ball against the Jets because he got so happy and tripped up on his own feet. Hopefully the dude can see more playing time and make some more catches.

The two weeks off will be good rest for Old Man Driver (not an insult). Its going to suck going into the Dallas game missing Driver because if he isn't catching the ball he has the attention of some defenders.

Its time to push James Jones or Jordy Nelson into the #2 and see what they can do with it. I have been low on both of these guys this season because they have both dropped too many *catchable* passes (Nelson more drops than Jones?)

I usually get some WTH or WTF reactions when I say this... but Driver and Swain skills sets are very much alike... ( I'm not saying Swain is good as Driver) ... but their raw skills of good to decent speed but not the fastest, they got a quick twitch and very good at most things but great at very little as well. Though you could say Drivers hands are great...

It's just Driver does almost all of the little things VERY well... and Swain is still learning all the little things... and no I'm not saying Swain will become the next Driver... just skills are alike.

True.....i can't remember a season when there were so many drops. How many points did we lose because of this problem? We may have won a few more games had our guys held onto the ball. And the fumble by Jones in the Chicago game, in my opinion, cost us that game.
Hopefully we can overcome that loss to the hated Bears.

Jordy stepped up huge last week against the Jets. 5 catches on 7 targets. I'd expect more against the Cowgirls "we don't give a damn anymore" defense.

He did step up... that being said it's only his 3rd game over 50 yards in his 3 years. And has yet to reach 65 yards in a game. I expected more from him I guess.

While he only has 3 games over 50 yards... two of the three have come in the last three games... so that's a good sign...

4 catches for 64 yards against the Dolphins
4 catches for 25 yards against the Vikings
5 catches for 55 yards against the Jets...

also Jordy has done well against the Cowboy in the past... so maybe he'll have a break out game... but I want to see him do better... he has the talent... just need to believe and he physical run over and burn guys like he did in college.

dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
