If he left under bad terms, why all the hugs form the owner, coach and team mates?

I think---he wanted more money they said no, he said release me, so they did

It was ALL business, and not production driven

but thats just me

So you think they were just fine with him refusing to honor his contract, if that's really what this was about? They said nice things about him because Bellicheck avoids making controversial statements and the entire organization follows that credo.

Besides, I think there was more to it than money. I heard about some pretty serious conflict between Moss and at least one of the assistant coaches. As I've said elsewhere, when you get a player for your team, you get a human being, not just a skill set. And I don't think Moss as a human being is a good fit for anyone right now. He's on a star trip and he's kind of crazy, and as if that's not bad enough, it IS affecting his level of play.

I'm not saying there wasn't issues with Moss at New England, but between players and coaches, outbursts happen all of the time.

I heard of the out burst, but that HAPPENS more than you know..

We have seen the "hoodie" have people push camera men away, seen him basically avoid talking to other coaches on purpose, but Sunday saw him WARMLY embrace Moss

To me his actions showed they really loved him as a person and a player..

He wouldnt hug someone like that if he didnt like him, correct?

I just think it was only about money and not production..

but if you see different then that is your opinion

And Michael Corleone's kiss means he loves you and will protect you.

I think Belichick is closer in personality to Corleone than someone like Donald Driver. It was planned.

Well, I will eat my words if the Patriots take Moss back, assuming they get a chance at him. The way I see it, trading a star player a few weeks into the season is not something that is taken lightly. It is an indication that something was seriously wrong.

Then there is the question of how much money the Patriots would pay him. To return at the same salary, with no guarantee beyond this year, would be a major defeat for Moss, who appears to have a rather large ego. And for the Patriots to give him a better contract would be a major defeat for them. Remember, he upstaged an opening day victory by bitching about his contract in the postgame press conference.

I just don't see this happening.

It wouldn't make much sense for the Patriots to put in a claim on Moss. They are last in line so it'd be smarter to just grab him via Free Agency. If they are afraid he won't return to them, then they'd definitely want nothing to do with him.

The Patriots won't put in a claim, but if he is unclaimed they might chase him for the right price. Which would really be great, cuz the Vikings would be on the hook for his salary if he's unclaimed and signs with another team.

its official Moss is gone

LOL

"longtimefan" wrote:

Actually, it's not official.

A 'statement' on a team-based website isn't anything official. According to the NFL, Randy was/is a Viking. There are these things called 'waivers' and teams have to abide by their regs.

With 4:00 p.m. ET come and gone in New York, the official Tuesday waiver wire has been released. Per multiple reports, Randy Moss officially has been cut by the Vikings.

Do we need more proof to make you believe?

TUESDAY. Our 'spat' happened during MONDAY. In which he WASN'T waived.

Again, go QQ more.

Obviously, there are more problens with Moss then we all know about.
The guy IS talented, but seems to implode where ever he goes.
That's not coincidence, it's a pattern of actions on his part.
There's something wrong with the guys brain it seems.
But i'm SURE some desperate team will pick him up, and he will continue on with his goofy ways.
Why should he change? As long as he gets his money from SOMEONE, he has no incentive to change.
