I agree with Silver. Sounds like Moss alienated his way out of MN, which sucks for you guys as Moss is still talent wise the best WR in the NFL. You watched the Pats game I assume and saw how the Pats feared him, opening up things for Harvin big time and indirectly helped AP as well.

Side note, I know.. But if Emmer wins the gubernatorial seat in today's election, he had talked about an option for the Vikes stadium that the Vikings proposed that he is in huge favor of, that DOESN'T involve raising taxes.

Should be a win-win, but with Minnesota's legislature, who knows. I mean, this IS the state that elected Ventura as governor and a SNL comedy sketch writer as a Senator..

This seems pretty simple to me. You can fire Chilly for 1) failing to develop his star pupil Jackson into a quality NFL QB, which indirectly leads to all the Favre silliness. 2) Being desperate enough to bring in Moss, even though Minnesota of all clubs should have known what they were getting. 3) Being a pretty piss-poor gameday coach.

But firing him for getting Moss out of there, after he jaked it on that TD catch (and this after jaking it on the final play in the GB game) and then that hot mess of a presser? No. That's the smartest thing Major Dad has done this season. Moss wasn't getting his targets, so he was being Randy. No effort, all crazy. Dude was going to bring an already troubled locker room right the hell down to the ground. Gotta cut the cord there, and that brings you right back 'round to... what the hell were they thinking trading for him in the first place?

Not to be unclear: They need to fire Chilly. And probably Spielman, unless he had a lot more personnel juice than I think he did. Then they need to tell ole Broke Foot thank you very much for all the fun but please go back to Mississippi to stay. Then they need to bring in a serious regime so that perhaps the taxpayers around here have a sense that their money will go to more than Keystone Capers and Sex Boat scandals.

Oh. Also, Emmer blows goats.

Actually, Ventura was one of the few politicians from the upper midwest in the last twenty years or so who has (a) had balls and (b) a commitment to principles that make sense.

I'd take Ventura over any governor, senator, congressman, or state legislator I've seen since my semi-permanent move to Iowa in 1986.

And, no, I'm not a wrestling fan.
