i don't think the pack will take this game lightly, they know the boys have a lot of talent on the o-line yea kitna is old but he can still throw a deep ball and their d-line is good but if they play like they did against the jets d-line stands firm and not go soft,i see them giving dallas a big headache.

The Pack has lost three games it should have won. They know this. They are playing a lot of guys that would not be on the field if so many guys were not hurt. They know that too.

We are 5-3 and that is not a position to be doing any overlooking especially considering this comes before a bye. It might be, but i doubt it, a little more concernig if we played the Vikes next week. Now if we were 7-1 and had won a couple of these games we shouldn't have lost it might be different. 5-3 is not the time to become full of themselves. Most of these guys have been through significant win streaks and knows what it takes to put them together.

You add to the fact the offense has not gotten it rolling yet I can see no way the team comes into this complacent. I expect the opposite. They know the 'Boys are down and they will go for the throat and get the O rolling gaining some confidence for the Vikes.

This game scares the hell out of me, personally.

Kitna is a good QB, and they have world-class talent at receiver.
They have three very good running backs behind a good/very good o-line.
Their secondary is their weakest link, but our passing game hasn't exactly been our strength, either.

They have plenty of talent - and they're demoralized and embarrassed and desperate. That makes them dangerous. They going to get the "it's time to circle the wagons" speech all week. They know it's too early to give up on the season. They'll be fired up and ready.

I still think we'll win, but it'll be close.

We're not going to lose to the Cows this year. That team is a mess. Yes they have talent but the morale is shot over there.

Oh, their OL isn't good. It's average. CM3 will have his opportunities as will a few of our other guys.

I like your chutzpa, but I cringe when I see statements like this. "We will win - there's no question about it." There's a question, alright - if the Pack doesn't take this week dead-seriously and treat the 1-6 Cows like the 5-1 Jets, half this board will be slitting their wrists come 11PM CST on Sunday. With the way the Cows' season is going, I bet you a win @ Lambeau to spoil this renewed optimism in Green Bay is their current Super Bowl.

No game is a gimme win in the NFL. Even the worst team can beat the best if they're better-prepared and more hungry. So if you add "As long as the team prepares properly and goes into the game with the right mindset" before "we're not going to lose to the Cows", then I agree with you.

I agree with everything you said other than the good/very good o-line. Like the Bears, Vikes, and up until the last couple games our Packers, the problem for Dallas is that o-line. Assuming the Packers are healthy up front (at least as healthy as last week), they should be able to get pressure without a lot of fancy blitzing, which would allow them to play coverage to help negate the receiving talent. Like any o-line, they'd rather run block than pass block, so if the Pack stops the run they should be able to get to Kitna and cause some problems.

I'm far more concerned about their D-line getting pissed off enough to really go after it - I'm not liking the Wells-Ratliff matchup a lot, personally.

This game concerns me somewhat. We tend to play to the level of our opponent. We need to come out fired up, get up early. The longer we let them hang around, the worse it'll get for us.

Last year the Cowboys were the team on a "hot" streak and we were just beat by a Buccaneers team that was considered one of the worst in the NFL.

This year, we're going up and they're going down. I hope they don't smack us in the mouth with a L like we did to them last year.

We're going up? How do you figure? We just finished the easy part of the schedule. We were supposed to be undefeated at this point.

I keep an eye on all NFC North games each weekend via sattelite. The Lions, despite their record, are the only team in the division which has stepped forward. Packers, Bears, and Queens have all regressed.

We just beat a talented Vikings team and then we turned around and stomped the "best" team in the NFL (Jets).

How many teams went undefeated to this point?

The Packers have won their last two games. One, against their biggest rival. Two, they shut out the team many pundits claim is the best in the NFL and they did it at their opponents home.

If that's not going up from losing two over time games, I don't know what is.
