very nice, in light of the recent grammar policing. I will readily admit that I don't know how to use who vs. whom, even after a brief google of the difference.

that's what google told me, but I have no clue wtf that means. I'm a science guy, so I forgot about all of my 6th grade sentence structure/english crap. I know "for whom the bell tolls" and beyond that, I figure that I talks good so whom cares?

I hate to say pack used "whom" incorrectly.

The easiest way to remember it for me is replacing it with "he" or "him". If "he" fits, use "who". If "him" works, use "whom". It would be "he knows" not "him knows", so use "who".

Which of the following constructions are correct? +1 to whomever gets all of them correctly and can explain why they are correct.

A) Jimmy and me went to the ice cream shop.
B) Jimmy and I went to the ice cream shop.

A) Mom gave Jimmy and I an ice cream cone.
B) Mom gave Jimmy and me an ice cream cone.

A) Aren't I the right person for the job?
B) Ain't I the right person for the job?

First one should probably be "I and Jimmy", because you two dumbfucks are the plural subject. But I suppose B. (Proper pronoun is "we".)

Second one is B. You are now the subject of your mother's neglect (since she's making you share an ice cream cone.)

Third one: both are incorrect. I'd say "Am I not..." Unless you are southern, in which case B for the third time. "I are" is a bigger barbarism than "I ain' ". If you want to argue that ain't is now idiomatic English for "I am not", then B as well.

"That" and "which" are the one's I can never keep straight.

And when, if ever, are you allowed to say "that that" or "that which"?
