off topic but it is about a punter.

The Bears have brought Homewood-Flossmoor product Freddie Barnes back to their practice squad.

The wide receiver who put up huge numbers at Bowling Green last season will take the place of punter Richmond McGee, who was waived from the practice squad, according to a source. link

why have a punter on the pratice squad? There are a 1000 of them out there on the street. If a team needs a punter on their regular roster they can sign him away from the PS.
I question Lovie and Jerry Angelo's thinking.

You have a punter on the PS to push the other punter in practice.

Masthay was the unsung hero of yesterday's game. That game was won by defense and field position. I hope he got one of the game balls.
