That article doesn't state that he threw picks in the end zone, only that he's normally known for good decision making there. During the Jets game this week, they clearly stated that he'd only thrown 1 red zone INT in his entire career.

It's not a red zone INT if you air it out from behind the red zone. Like he did on the endzone pick.

The Jared Allen one was a red zone pick. The only of his career.

No, they were right.

Rodgers threw the second INT from the 35 yard line, which is clearly outside the redzone. (the LOS was about the 30 yard line)

I can provide a link to a video of the play for you, courtesy NFL Highlight videos.

Actually, it invalidates your statement.

In other words, it shows you did not know what you were talking about.

listen..I'm just starting a discussion. I was wrong about Rodgers having turnovers against the jets, he did not. He was sacked in the red zone against the jets, he did throw a red zone pick against the Vikes, and another int that killed a drive in that game, he has missed a ton of open WR, we do suck on third down conversions.

The Jets win was a great win, and i think we will beat the cowboys and get healthier after the bye.

Our offense needs some work. Rodgers is off, and that is all I'm writing, not that he should be benched. He needs to improve his play if the Packers are going to make the playoffs.

Plenty of people agree with this, but for some reason, any other thought on the packers on this forum, other than, we are great and will win the Super Bowl, is never even discussed.

Dude, the red zone pick you reference was thrown on September 8, 2008, the first game of his first season as a starter.

IMO, Rodgers has played terrible this season. He looks lost, his throws are way off the mark, his win loss record for games he is losing in the 4th quarter is horrendous, he has at least 4 ints in the red zone this year, and plenty of people in sports are talking about it.

"dhpackr" wrote:

Yeah he has 3 in his whole career. Are you dumb? Where the he'll do you get 4 from. I knew somebody like you would complain about something like that when he is great in the red zone. Really, you need to stop hating everything about the Packers since Favre has joined our arch rivals. It's ok. You can admit that you've switched to the dark side as well.

That statistic given during the Jets game was incorrect. Last week the first drive we did get into the red zone before the Jared Allen pick. According to the NFL.com play-by-play we were at the 12. The other pick though came when we were at the 27 so it was only one red zone pick.

That said, dhpackr's first post was absolutely spasticated, and in general just wrong. If you want to come in and start a serious discussion about Rodgers play don't lead off with a series of statistics that are grossly inaccurate. The only thing you had right is that he is having a down year. I don't think any of us here would argue otherwise.
