I read somewhere that if anyone picks him up from waivers the Vikings have to still pay the rest of his salary this year. How awesome would that be if we could pick him up and have the Vikings pay for the tab. I think that alone would make it worthwhile.

If someone claims him.. they are on the hook for the rest of his salary.. if he goes unclaimed, the Vikings are on the hook.
If he goes unclaimed.. then another team can sign him for the prorated veteran minimum and the Vikes would pick up the balance equal to his contract for the season. His contract became set after he was on a roster for week one, and even though traded his number was set.
The begs the question.. would Moss sign for anything less than what he wants and the length that he wants? Or just sit out and collect the balance of his 2010 salary.
