I didn't want to clog up the main board, because this is irrelevant, but I found it slightly comical. This is a post I read on a non-sports related board I frequent.

Dear Mr. Aaron Rodgers,

The next time you come to your home town bar and bring a bunch of friends that get homeless man/Helen Keller drunk, who then proceed to act like raging jock assholes all the while yelling at the top of their lungs the same stupid incoherent football chant over and over again (believe me, it got old after the first 20 times.)

Tip your bartenders and kitchen staff

Especially when some no-neck land beast in your group is bragging rather loudly that you had $14,000 on you. (SomehowI doubt this, but then again, Ive never seen a pro football player in a bar before)

We let you guys do literally whatever you wanted. We made sure all your orders were perfect. We even gave you half off your 800 dollar tab, and what do you do?

Your group tipped us a measly $30 fucking dollars.

Now dont get me wrong. We were glad to have your business, and you guys were just having fun. But we went out of our way to accommodate you guys (even after you cleared out the front of the bar due to the fact that customers didn't want to get stomped to death by loud, drunken 300+ lb. men). We made damn sure that you had a memorable night, I know for a fact that the bartenders worked their asses off for you and your buddies you were being served by our "A team" that night. The least you could do was show some love for the little guys back home. A LOT of people around here still remember you when you were just another kid at Butte College.

$30? Damn thats pretty cheap.

$30 is poor form and Aaron should be more careful. But then, anyone can actually confirm that story?

You know how sometimes you read something and get the sense that it's probably true or probably not true? I'm getting the sense that this one is probably true, and I'll bet that if it is, the writer probably cured the problem. If this revelation "gets legs", publicity-wise, every drunk in town, whatever town it might be, will be watching Aaron's tipping habits with more scrutiny than a bunch of Deputy Sherriffs watch a condemned man at sentencing. I'll be curious to see how long it's going to take for the GB media to ask him about it. Engineer, kindly keep us informed on the investigation. :magnifyglass:

Oh, and this brings to mind something that the writer of the complaint simply must keep in mind... This is an important safety tip. If a member of the Sopranos decides to roll into your restaurant, be happy, be very happy with the gratuity presented...

I've never run into him in Chico so couldn't verify this one way or another.

I do know however that Bill Gates tips $1, regardless of the price of the food or how good or bad the service was. If I were running a restaurant in Redmond/Bellevue, I'd refuse service to him and his party. I hate seeing my servers get dissed like that.

Now I'm in a really bad mood. It has been 2 years since Warren Buffett threw 37 billion, ya that's billion, at Bill Gates and his foundation. I would think that Bill could swing more than a buck... what a consumate asswipe, and I don't give a damn what good he's doing with his money, especially in light of the fact that the bulk of it isn't even his in the first place. Now I'm re-pissed at Warren, too. Thanks, Zombie, for sharing... friggin' rich assholes.... hey, Warren, you could've done some real good with that money instead of entrusting it to the computer geek that is too friggin' stupid to develop a decent OS with the whole friggin' world helping... he can't even make a commercial that makes sense or has any humor with Jerry friggin' Seinfeld helping....

Having worked in the food service industry in the past, I'd advise that if you ever receive an invitation to dine with Mr. Gates it would be bes to decline same unless you like foreign objects in your food.

Guy is worth $50 plus billion and he tips a buck and can't seem to find a decent hairdresser or tailor. What a douche.

Well....i don't know if anything in this thread is true or not.
A $800 tab should get at LEAST 15%. It's not like they can't afford it.
Now....if Gates is tipping $1, and i was his waiter, I'd give him crappy service and dump the hot soup in his lap.

I don't understand why people think just because someone has lots of money they should throw it around like they have an endless amount.

I'm all for tipping, but to make a blog/post crying about it? What's that going to prove? True or False, this individual lost a lot of respect from me. I wonder if he makes a note of every person who doesn't tip as much as THEY feel should be.

If Aaron didn't give a tip at all, yea that's shady. We all know they don't paid too well and make their coin off the tips. And honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Aaron didn't tip.

dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
    Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
    Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
