I never thought it would get to FELONY STATUS.

Apparently he is been charged on a FELONY Crime.

Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey told the Press-Gazette that the team is aware of the indictment and that Jolly was excused from practice Monday for personal reasons. Tuesday is the players day off.

Green Bay Packers defensive tackle Johnny Jolly has been indicted by a grand jury for felony drug possession.

Jolly, 25, a Houston native, was arrested there July 8 for possession of at least 200 grams of codeine.

The Harris County grand jury recently found there was enough probable cause to go forward with the case, said Harris County Assistant District Attorney Donna Hawkins.

The indictment, a statement of charges, did not include any new details of the case. It is similar to the criminal complaint stage in a Wisconsin felony case.

Jolly posted $10,000 bond on July 8 and was not held, but has been ordered to submit weekly, random urinalysis for drug monitoring and has been given a curfew of 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Jolly is expected to appear in Harris County court Tuesday.

Jolly was excused from practice Monday for personal reasons, said Packers spokesman Aaron Popkey, adding that the team is aware of the indictment. Players have Tuesday off from practice.

Hawkins said Jolly can plead guilty, ask that his case be set for trial or request more time to make a decision.

:? I thought the prosecutor already said there weren't charging Jolly which the felony because it was clear by the amount of drugs he was found with, the drugs were for personal use and not for selling and distribution.

The felony would of been for "selling and distribution".

But I thought there was so little found and the fact that they had some in cans and drinking them that the prosecutor already public said they weren't charging the "selling and distribution".

I'm I wrong and the prosecutor didn't say that or did the prosecutor change their mind or what?

Those bastards over at PPO dropped a dime on him. I commented over there that I didn't think it quite right that the Williams' boys should get in trouble over water pills when we have Johnny Jolly playing with this hanging over his head. The next time I go online, literally hours later, down comes this indictment. That's what I get for trying to extend an olive branch to those dirty biqueens. No more Mr. nice guy, they obviously have a closet vikings fan in the D.A.'s office, or those clowns probably mounted some sort of campaign against us... conspiracy theory mode on full throttle.....

Now Ted's also responsible for the players personal choices? Whew.

I get it. He should have smelled it on Jolly's breath therefore it's his fault.
