Brett = Bitch?

I'm a Vikings fan, so I apologize in advance for any and all homerism contained within this rant. But my team lost last night because our QB is a fucking bitch.

"I Didn't Leave My Country, My Country Left Me
A not-so-short rant by Thunderclees

I grew up a Vikings fan. I remember 1998. I remember Warren Moon. And Jeff George. And Daunte-to-Randay, and Randall Cunningham and Robert Smith and John Randle and blah blah blah. I love the purple and gold.

Which is why I cannot cheer for them as long as that despicable, just-sexting-cock-photos-like-a-little-kid-out-there octogenarian Packers legend is the guy saying "Hike!"

Do you all get it now? You, my homer friends back in Minnesota, you managed to forget how much this man tormented you during your formative years? Do you finally get it? Could the case be any clearer? Fuck you and your "He's better than Tarvaris," bullshit. The Vikings had a first-round bye with Tarvaris, and without Jared Allen and Percy Harvin, before Sidney Rice learned to go up and get it, before Randy came back. Favre was supposed to get them over the top. Well, he did---Favre pulled off exactly one more meaningful victory in '09 than Jackson did in '08 (Jared Allen and Percy Harvin might have helped too). And then the Wrangler-wearin' gunslinger ended the 2009 season the same way he'e ended the previous four: by throwing the ball to the wrong team.

I've said all this before. The facts are staring you right in your bandwagon-jumping faces. Favre is not going to win the Vikings a championship. And even if he wins a championship in a Vikings uniform (which, again, he won't), he won't be doing it for you, he'll be doing it for him. He's said as much. Favre's looking for one last ring before he goes into Canton wearing Packers green-and-gold. And every last one of you morons---you, my friends back in Minnesota and scattered around the country, you who say that a "true Vikings fan" would never turn his back on the team---every last one of you mouth-breathing mongoloids is chomping at the bit to give the Old Man one final chance at glory, one last shot at using the Vikings to burnish his own legacy.

He doesn't care about this team. He never has. And he doesn't care about you. He cares about Brett Favre. And he's not that good at playing quarterback anymore.

The experiment is over. The long-statewide nightmare is not. Bench him or release him, start T-Jack, give the ball to Peterson 35 times a game, and hope the defense holds up. This is reality we're talking about here, you idiots. We've already wasted a year and change of Adrian Peterson's prime. I can't understand why anyone would want to waste more.

Fuck you, fuck you, fuck you, you're cool, I'm out."

This guy isn't a Viking fan. This guy is an anti-Favre fan. There's a difference, and he's been waiting for the past year or so to come out of his cute little closet and rag on Viking fans who could care less what the name on the back of the jersey says and cheers for the name on the front of the jersey.

Give the ball to ANY RB 35 times a game and he's done in 2 years.

History has shown that over and over and over again.

No argument that AP isn't the best RB in the NFL. I think he is. But he's also a human being. Wallie was the most complete RB I've ever seen. He took punishment no human being should ever take. You don't want that happening to AP. You gotta pass the ball, not just on 3rd downs.

Wait, why does it say I wrote that? That's pretty funny, indeed, but I can't take credit for something I didn't write.

I'm not saying give AP the rock 35 times a game (although I wouldn't be against it), I'm saying give AP the rock 35 times last night's game. Minny's passing attack has been struggling. And instead of forcing it to 'work' (hence the 3 INTs), I'm more of a 'go-to-what-is-working' guy. And that was giving the rock to AP.

Maybe I'm strange, but I actually care about the health of NFL players, even when they're on the opposing team. You know how much I hate the Cows, but I cringed when I saw Romo's injury. Hate to see a guy go down like that.

Your 2nd RB, that white guy, is no slouch. Yes, you would have been better off pounding with AP but give that other guy some carries too. You don't want to shorten AP's career. AP's the best RB in the game and he'd be better off sharing some of his carries with that other guy.

Gerhart is our 2nd RB's name. And I had NO problems with him in the game those plays. Give him 10 or so touches and AP 35 that game, and I'm a happy camper.

Rushing 45 times a game? Do you really think your D can limit opponents to 14 points? That's all your going to score if all you do is rush.

Maybe. Or maybe AP breaks one or two.. Or even Gerhart.

And maybe it opens up the pass game more. It would definitely give the Vikes more time of possession, which would limit the time A-Rod is on the field..
