Just like when the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team. Beat the Russians 4-3. It should have been 5-3 Johnson missed an open net, and the US Team did not play well in the second period. What a waste of a game that was. It could have been 5-3 win. That could have been a two goal win. That win was a total waste of an opportunity to beat the Russians 5-3 instead of 4-3.

You almost wonder if the conditioning is a problem. Do they get fatigued? There's certainly a major injury problem. Hard to day.
More likely it's just an issue with time of possession. Defense gets worn down.
