Rumor has it Packers are interested in Marion Barber, I would love to have him on our team because he is a powerful runner. I saw him run on Vikings and he did a great job, specially on 3rd downs which matters to us a lot. Since we are having a hard time converting this on third downs. I hope they land him that would be great so that way we won't just be a passing team.

Edit, to wrap up my little story. We will not make a trade, it does not suit our team in the long run even though us fans think it's a sexy idea. We're not one position player away from being the 'IT' team.

I still don't understand why the NFL trade deadline is so damn early. It seems absurd to me. Why not let teams who have a legitimate chance to make a playoff push bone up as the postseason approaches, while teams that have no chance can unload talent and gear up for the offseason?

We are good enough everywhere, except maybe OLB. After Clay, we need depth there. Maybe pick up Merriman or Bulk Bigby up.

I think Ted stands pat.
He may even have thrown the idea of a trade for a running back out the window for this year given that the o-line is probably not good enough to make any running back outside of Barry Sanders worth a trade.
I doubt that there is any other position that he would consider trading for.

The Packers do need a punter but would it be worth trading for one? I don't think so.
