I got autographs, got a few handshakes, waves, smiles, but know exactly zero NFL players personally.
Had I known just one NFL player personally, I'd be happy for them if they succeeded. None of the semi-pro players I knew made it to the NFL.
Good story, Bob. Aaron Rodgers lived in the same town I lived in. We never crossed paths although there are a lot of Packers fans there now. I'm sure most of them started off Niners or Raiders fans but I'm also sure that that town has a lot of Packers as their second team fans now. Had Aaron Rodgers beat the Niners or Raiders, I'm sure they'd be happy for him.
Rodgers seems like a Chico kind of guy. Chico's a mellow town. #1 employer is the hospital. Famous for its college and the brewery (Sierra Nevada. Apparently it hasn't reached Wisconsin yet).
I got too much going on personally to get butt hurt after a Packers loss. It sucks, but I keep my bad mood to about ten minutes after the game.

2010 will be seen as the beginning of the new Packers dynasty. 🇹🇹 🇲🇲 🇦🇷
