I just moved away from the Twin Cities about four months ago. The acupuncture sounds interesting...

You guys make it sound like Jermichael's injury is career-ending. 😕

Probably not career ending but we might miss him 4-6 weeks per season if it's as fragile as some of the posters are saying.

Guys are coming back from knee injuries a lot faster and stronger now a days. Look at Welker and Barnett. That 6 week time table is not that bad. We still have enough talent on offense to survive without Finley. The Grant injury has/will have a much larger impact on our offense than Finley's, IMO.

If Aaron Rodgers makes the playoffs and posts another 4,000-yard season, I expect the refs blow him the way they do Brady/Manning/Favre.

You're painting a pretty bleak picture Millertime! We don't all experience things the same way. When I was 15 I had an operation to remove torn and damaged meniscus, along with a full lateral release. So that was 12 years ago. I have slight discomfort most of the time, pain with overuse, and arthritis pain when the barometric pressure is in transition. I have learned to live with it. I would imagine the amount of pain and arthritis is directly impacted by how much of the cartilage needs to be removed and the location of the damage. That said, I hope Finley the best, and you too.

If you want to get rid of the pain, get some acupuncture. If you're in the Twin Cities, come see me. If you wanna boost your cartilege, try this:
One packet of knox gelatin, three times a day. dissolve it in water. I sweeten it with stevia to make it palatable. The magic secret to making this work is you then drink a SECOND glass of water to wash it down.
The people who just drink it with ONE glass of water have mixed results. Hydration is very important.
You could also try glucosamine, chondroitin and MSM, but knox gelatin is quite inexpensive.
Here's another thing. Eat bone marrow. You can get marrow bones at the grocery store, cheap. That's pure yin essence. Justin Harrell should load up on that stuff. Anyway, you can make a broth with it. Some people bake it and spread it on bread. Another method is you put a marrow bone in your crock pot overnight, filled with water. In the morning, you pour it into a jar in put it in the fridge. In the fridge, the fat will rise to the top and harden. Skim that off. You now have a good beef broth stock. You add veggies to it to make soup. Tastes alot better when you add veggies. Throw in some cayenne too. Cayenne, garlic and hawthorn will not only control blood pressure but clean out your arteries. Just a thought.

Tue, 12 Oct 2010 09:50:46 -0700

Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers said CB Jarrett Bush will work again this week as a safety instead of his normal cornerback position and probably will compete with SS Charlie Peprah, who gave up two big plays that accounted for 100 yards in Week 5, according to Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Tue, 12 Oct 2010 09:39:58 -0700

Green Bay Packers LB Clay Matthews (hamstring) appears to be day-to-day and not in danger of missing an extended period of time, according to Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The pull is not nearly as severe as the one he suffered in training camp and there's a chance he'll play in Week 6.

Packers | Happy with performance of Andrew Quarless
Comment (0)

Tue, 12 Oct 2010 09:33:02 -0700

Green Bay Packers tight ends coach Ben McAdoo said he thought rookie TE Andrew Quarless acquitted himself well filling in for TE Jermichael Finley (knee) in the slot and split wide in Week 5, according to Tom Silverstein, of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. He pointed to the 21-yard catch Quarless made to set up PK Mason Crosby's 53-yard field-goal attempt at the end of regulation in which he carried out QB Aaron Rodgers' audible to perfection. McAdoo said Quarless needs to play faster, especially in the running game where he was slow to make some backside blocks.

I don't know if the report on Bigby/Harris is just a lazy reiteration of the fact that they're ELIGIBLE to practice, or that they're actually making substantial progress. Although no report on Starks suggests that they are in fact getting ready (thank goodness!)

I'm actually excited about Quarless (sp?). He's still raw, but was drafted under the premise that he is a mismatch nightmare in the making, much like JF. Here's hoping that he's able to fill the void in the meantime!

beast (30m) : Also why do both NYC teams have absolutely horrible OL for over a decade?
beast (30m) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (10h) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (10h) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (12h) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (13h) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job
dfosterf (14h) : Martha- C'est mon boulot! 😁
Zero2Cool (14h) : Thank you
wpr (14h) : Z, glad you are feeling better.
wpr (14h) : My son and D-I-L work for UM. It's a way to pick on them.
Zero2Cool (14h) : Thank you. I rarely get sick, and even more rarely sick to the point I can't work.
wpr (14h) : Beast- back to yesterday, I CAN say OSU your have been Michigan IF the odds of making the playoffs were more urgent.
dfosterf (14h) : Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better.
Zero2Cool (15h) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (15h) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (15h) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (15h) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (15h) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Even Stevie Wonder can see that.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : Nah, you see Lions OC leaving to be HC of Bears is directly related to Packers.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ohhhhhhh Zero is in TROUBLE
packerfanoutwest (21-Jan) : Zero, per your orders, check Bearshome, not packershome
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Then he'll land with another team and flourish.
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : Ben going to Bears. He'll be out in 3 years.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jan) : what's so funny?
Zero2Cool (20-Jan) : BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
